Jay left in a hurry after smashing his glass and taking his gun.

Everyone followed cautiously but when they heard gunshots they ran downstairs.

Jays gun and phone had been discarded, there was no sign of him. He had also been smart enough to take a different car to his usual one.

This one didn't have a tracker, so they had no idea of what Jay would do or where he went.

Hailey was shaking, Kim was pacing back and forth while everyone tried their best to think about where Jay could've gone.

He wouldn't have gone home, he wouldn't have gone to Erin's, he wouldn't be at Molly's, or at Wills. Haileys mind trailed off to Erin and to her favorite places, she loved the little restaurant on the corner of the marina.

Hailey grabbed Kim and dragged her off. Knowing that if Jay wasn't there, they had no clue as to where he was. Was he okay? Was he shot? Kim's mind ran circles as Hailey drove to find their friend.

Jay parked his car outside Erin's favorite restaurant, he went inside.

Did some vodka shots with some girls in the corner, paid for it then headed back out.

He decided not to drive and to walk down to the marina. He walked slowly, each step he took he thought about where everything went wrong.

He thought about Hailey, about Kim, about Erin.

Erin.

Her name still hit hard to him, he didn't know where she was now. Or how she was doing. And he didn't know if he still cared or not.

Jay was mad, he was mad at her for leaving the whole unit and mad at her for leaving him like that when they had been in the best place possible for a long time.

He didn't think anything could screw that up.

Jay went up to the side of this abandoned building, climbed to the top and sat on the ledge of the roof. Aware that one small misstep could cause him to fall to his death.

Not that it would be a bad thing, he thought to himself.

Kim and Hailey finally pulled up outside the restaurant, they saw Jays car and headed inside but no luck. They pulled out their badges to the bartender.

"Was he here before?" Hailey asked as she showed a picture of Jay to the bartender.

"Yeah he was here. Left a couple of minutes ago, you just missed him" the man said. Both girls thanked him before they went outside.

"Erin always said that Jay loved the marina, he loves watching the sunset from the top of this abandoned building" Haileys heart fell as she looked at him before they took off in a sprint. Worried Jay had done the worst.

When they got to the bottom of the building, they saw two legs dangling from the top.

"Jay!" Kim screamed out at the man on the building who looked down, it was him. The girls ran up the steps and out onto the roof.

"Jay?" Hailey said quietly.

"Jay? Jay come here" She said as she slowly approached from behind him, and grabbed his shoulder.

He wasn't flighty at all. Just sad. Kim was waiting with her gun in case he went awol and they had to shoot him to get him away from the ledge.

But Hailey was patient and soft, as she usually was. Carefully inching Jay off the ledge and into her arms for a hug.

"Oh my god, don't ever do that again" Hailey exhaled sharply before both girls met Jay in a hug. He was quiet, he didn't know what to say, until he said.

"Thanks guys" to his two friends before they hugged him tight again. Adamant to not let him go and help him through whatever he was going through.

Hailey was brought back into reality by sniffles from the person crying in front of her.

She realized she too had tears streaming down her cheeks, her body was shaking violently. Pushing it down, she realized and pulled Erin into a hug.

"Why are you crying?" Hailey asked her best friend.

"Because of the story you just told me. Jay tried to kill himself because of me Hails, what did I do? Why did I leave?" Erin's questions were half sobbed half pleas.

"Erin, the only person that knows the answer to that is you" Hailey said softly before Erin was taken aback. She knew Hailey was right, but she just didn't want to admit it.

"After loosing Nadia, I shut everyone out. I thought, it would be best if I just didn't come back for a while. Turns out for a while ended up being two years. I didn't even realize how much time had gone by, I didn't have anyone those last two years. I went through hell and back because of how much I missed you guys and I knew I couldn't come back. I didn't know what to do anymore, so I started using. Like everyday. To try and forget what my life was like before, to try and forget that I had a kid that I gave up on. To try and forget that said kids dad was never going to know he had a daughter. My whole life has been a mess. I was born into bad news and I can never seem to escape it. I didn't want to drag you all down with me..." Erin's voice trailed off before Hailey grabbed her hands.

"I'd follow you anywhere, just say the word and I'll be there. I promise, I'm with you. Until the wheels come off" Hailey said with a wink. Erin smiled and they hugged in silence for a while before Hailey piped up.

"Okay enough sappy stuff, I have to tell you about Lyric" Erin's eyes lit up. She hadn't heard about her best friends new beau yet.

"Ooooh do tell!" Erin said with a squeal.

"We met at a concert I went to last week or something, and I want you to meet her she's incredible..." Hailey kept talking about her new partner while all Erin could do was think about hers.

And how much their lives had changed.
