Ten or fifteen minutes passed; the street slowly becoming less chaotic so there weren't as many children blocking your path. But Halloween was far from over, meaning you could still search for Michael and his older sister. He had to be back home by now and let out from his detention. So, hurrying across the main part of the street, you started to smile - spotting the blonde boy sitting on the doorstep. Just like how you met him.
"Hey Michael! I'm able to go Trick-or-Treating with you tonight! Are you excited? Because I'm excited! Are you, are you, are you?!" You exclaimed with excitement; your bubbly mindset stopping him from just staring at the ground and instead looking up at you.
That's when your smile fell. There was something wrong with Michael. Not in a cruel way, but something was definitely...off. A clown mask was covering his face - but blood was splattered across the plastic, making you feel scared. Maybe it was fake blood...like-like ketchup or hot sauce...! Yeah...The strangest thing you'd noticed however was that Michael was holding a baby in his arms, the small infant swaddled in a snuggly blanket.
"Michael...?" You tentatively called his name - now feeling shy. "Do you...not want to...?"
"Oh, (Y/n). You look pretty." Michael greeted offhandedly; his eyes locking onto yours with intensity.
"T-Thanks. Is this the baby sister you were telling me about...? Her name was Boo, right...?" Sitting down next to him, you tried to ease your anxiety and act friendly - but something didn't seem...right here.
"Yeah. Her name's Angel, but like I said, I call her Boo." He looked down at her lovingly as he held her close, his clown mask making the whole thing seem a bit freaky.
"Hi Boo." You softened your voice and addressed the baby, who gurgled back at you cutely. "So how come you're sitting outside with Boo? Won't your mom be annoyed that you brought her into the cold?"
"My mom's not here. She's working." He responded with a sour shrug, his whole voice sounding cold and frigid.
"Then who's looking after the baby? Your sister? No wait, it'll be your mom's boyfriend, won't it?" You questioned as you shivered a bit; the cold wind hitting your body like a sharp whip.
"I'm looking after Boo. Judith and that piece of shit aren't looking after anyone anymore." Michael sounded smug - which confused you.
"What do you mean? Where are they?" You hesitantly asked, now on-edge due to his odd behaviour. He only smirked; you just spotting the smirk spread across his face from underneath his mask and also glimpsing the dark glint in his eyes through his clownish mask. In fact, his actions were sending a chill down your spine and creating an unsettling atmosphere - your excitement starting to spiral into sparkles of distress instead.
"You're not acting like yourself, are you okay?" You nervously quizzed, beginning to move away from the blonde-haired boy. Before you could distance yourself from Michael though, his hand curled around your wrist and yanked you back in place, his sudden strength causing your eyes to widen. "M-Michael—"
"Don't move away from me." He seemed hurt by your decision to distance yourself, his grip on you weirdly tight.
"I-I don't understand...What's going on...? What's happening to you...?" Biting your lip, you quickly grew alarmed, your heart hammering whilst tears pricked at the edges of your eyes.
"I love you, (Y/n)." Michael confessed out of nowhere, startling you further.
"W-What...?" You stuttered in a scared tone of voice - taken aback by what he'd just told you.
