"M'kay well, I'm going to get dressed, and then I'll meet you back in the hallway to head out, alright...?" Alina brought up in a friendly fashion, hugging you back before pulling away and heading into her apartment altogether.
"See you in a few." You pleasantly called, going back into your own bedroom and looking around at your unpacked things with slight nostalgia. Why did you feel such nostalgia all of a sudden? What made you feel this way?
—
"Oh, and (Y/n)! Don't forget that you still have to unpack your things, Missy!"
"Have you still not—"
"Yeah! I'll get right on that...!""You don't have to help, don't worry."
"You sure? I am just sitting here."
"Yes, but then again, it's not your fault that I didn't unpack after I moved, now is it...?"
"Guess you have a point there.""Surely there must be someone you trust..."
"I...I trust you, (Y/n). And...And Boo."
"Boo was the cute baby you were talking about this morning, wasn't she...?"
"You want to see more photos of her?"
"I'm supposed to be unpacking.""Okay, okay. Point taken." "I really don't mind helping you though."
"Well...if you really want to help~"
"It would be my pleasure~""Thanks again for helping me out, Michael." "I couldn't have done it without you."
"It would help if you actually started yesterday, (Y/n)."—
"When I moved here...as a little kid...I needed help unpacking..." You reminisced faintly, your head starting to pound as you randomly got a headache. "My new friend...Michael...helped me unpack...because I hadn't done it yet..."
"(Y/n)? You okay? Do you need help getting dressed or something...?" Ali's voice drifted from the hallway with amusement - curious as to what was taking you so long. "Or are you having trouble finding your clothes...?"
"Oh, uh, just a minute...!" You hurriedly responded, running a hand through your hair and trying your best to ignore what you'd just remembered. It was just a memory, right? You could just...call this child psychologist after your trip around Haddonfield.
So, once you'd gotten dressed, you quickly brushed your hair and left your bedroom ASAP; grabbing your bag before slinging it over your shoulder and leaving your apartment entirely. After you'd done that, the two of you left the apartment building and entered the town properly; your headache fading whilst you conversed with Alina about her digital art and your covers. She was tremendously talented - especially when it came down to her job - and the best part about your works were that you both did slasher-related designs, almost always enjoying your daily careers. So, as of right now, you were perfectly content with your life. Well, apart from that library book and scary story.
"Y'know, these people are really starting to bug me..." Ali muttered after a few minutes, her tour of the town being interrupted for a fourth time. "Honestly, can't they tell that you just want some time alone...?"
"Try not to let it get you down..." You mumbled uncomfortably, shifting from foot-to-foot and feeling your face flush pink. "After all, it's me they're chatting about..."
