"Okay, then. Say I did used to know you when I was a little kid. Why is it so important to you that I remember now...?"
"When you were a little kid in Haddonfield...I was the one who told you about what happened to Kaitlyn's cat."

"Why would Michael lie though? What would he do to purposely push you all away?"
"And another thing, don't get me started on what happened to Kaitlyn's cat."
"What happened...? What happened to Kaitlyn's cat...?"

"Kaitlyn's my best friend. We moved to this town together, pretty much grew up together. But when we moved into this school - and Michael found out that she had a cat - Well...Let's just say that...that's when we started to dislike him."

"You didn't answer my question."
"I...I don't want to scare you. That's why."
"What. Happened. To. Kaitlyn's. Cat...?"
"The Principal. Rumour spread a year or two ago that he apparently found a dead cat tucked away in Michael's bag. Not only that, but dead pictures of animals in there too."

"Rumours aren't always true."
"Maybe so, but don't you think it's odd that Kaitlyn's cat went missing a few days after we started going to this school...? After we met Michael...?"

"Some kid who used to be in my class when I was younger." Spilling part of the truth, you hugged your knees in the bath and felt relatively awkward; trying not to let too much slip while you "supposedly" relaxed. "Apparently his best friend's pet went missing or something - due to this "Infamous Michael Myers boy"."

"Oh...Well, that's rather unfortunate." Alina mentioned in amusement from the other side of the door. "For this Kaitlyn girl, I mean."

"Hang on, how did you know who his best friend was...?" Narrowing your eyes, you questioned her suspiciously; making the blonde grow alarmed and freak out again.

"I, uh, might've read the book...?" Ali timidly admitted, causing you to think back to what you read in the beginning.

"I'm pretty sure the prologue and first chapter didn't state anything about that best friend." You mulled over said fact firmly. "Therefore, there's something you're NOT telling me."

"I-It's in Chapter 26. Anyway, it doesn't matter." She quickly decided, breathing in and out before acting strangely dismissive. "I should get back to cooking dinner in my apartment. Speak to you in a bit...?"

"Um, okay then..." You agreed unwillingly, attempting to shift your attention back to relaxing and staying calm. "Message me when you're ready, alright...?"

"Aye, aye, Cap'n...!" Alina spoke in comic relief; lessening the tension whilst her tone reverted back to her natural sound. "Enjoy your bath, m'kay (Y/n)...?"

"I will, I will, thank you." You promised with another laugh - finding her reply to be somewhat funny. "I appreciate the amount of thought that's going into dinner tonight. It means a lot to me that you're trying, just for me. So no, I'm not tilted."

"That's a relief. I'll leave you to your own devices then. Again, sorry for disturbing you." Her voice changed to a more regretful one, the other girl bidding goodbye and leaving your side shortly afterwards.

You almost felt bad, considering that she was only looking out for you and that she might be right. Ali could possibly be correct about the past repeating itself and those quotes being...Well, not quotes. With a sigh, you washed your hair, not knowing what to make about all of this. From Dr. Loomis, to the recordings, to the files, to— To well, your predicament. Could Haddonfield be echoing itself...? Echo its dark history...? And what was Ali's role in all of this...? Your guilt flickered to a more clueless feeling, realising that the questions you asked her earlier - they most likely hurt her feelings. Dammit...You and your sharp tongue.
