"Why don't we put a movie on and have something to eat...? I don't know about you Laurie, but (Y/n) and I haven't eaten all day." Alina offered with a warm smile, switching the TV on while she tried to keep everyone in lighthearted spirits.

"I could go for some food right now." You agreed at once; your stomach rumbling and making you giggle. "What do you think Laurie...? You up for some...?"

"Sure! But what movie would we be watching...?" Laurie questioned curiously, curling her legs up on the sofa and tilting her head to the side.

"Whatever you guys want." Ali shrugged softly, leaving the remote on the coffee table before entering the kitchen part of her place.

"Up to you, I'm indifferent." You flashed a kindhearted smile towards the wavy-haired girl and tried to comfort her, hugging a cushion in the process.

"You sure...? Usually I wait whilst my friends - Lynda and Annie - fight about what film to watch." Laurie chuckled as she picked up said remote instead.

"I'm sure. So...What types of movies are you into, Laurie...?" You asked casually, your curiosity bubbling over the edge as usual.

"Romantic comedies, drama, romance...that kind of thing. You...?" She dreamily answered, her response being stereotypical and girlish. Of course she was into that sort of stuff, she was just an innocent high-schooler; crushing on boys and hanging out with her friends.

"Horror, fantasy, animation...I guess romance is good...every once in a while." Your answer varied from hers; the awkwardness in the room suddenly rising again whilst silence blossomed between the both of you.

"Hey guys, I'm back." Alina reappeared with a tray of different and delicious treats; popcorn, a few yoghurts, some sandwiches, some sweets, it was amazing how many she'd been able to put together in just a few minutes. "Have you still not been able to decide on a movie...?"

"Oh, well um..." Laurie lapsed back into her shy state and avoided Ali's glance, the golden-haired teenager fidgeting uncomfortably. "I wouldn't want to force you guys to watch something against your will or anything."

"Well, why don't we watch...this one...?" Closing her eyes, Alina picked something from her shelf of DVDs and reopened them; showing it to you two with sudden enthusiasm.

"I love that movie...!" Laurie excitedly exclaimed, brightening up and losing her timid expression. "Thanks, Alina."

"I'm chill with it." Dipping your head as a nod, you shot her a smile and took something from the dinner tray, feeling your hunger subside while Ali slid the movie into the DVD player.

The whole night was a blast, the three of you really clicking and becoming friends. Laurie was mostly innocent - apart from her sexual innuendoes and suggestive jokes - making it much funnier when you and Alina subjected her to horror movies instead of her usual romance types. Because the teenage girl jumped at almost every jump-scare, grew alarmed for almost every survivor, and couldn't deal with any of the bloodshed. In fact, let's just say Laurie was a bit of a baby. But it wasn't a bad thing! You and Ali merely found it to be hilarious. Tremendously hilarious, actually.

"This is really creepy~!" Laurie complained when the three of you watched Saw, shuddering at the torturous traps and sickening scenes.

"Aww, horror movies are the best kind of movies to watch - especially at sleepovers." Alina lightly laughed, flicking a piece of popcorn towards the schoolgirl and Laurie flicked it back; amazed when the other blonde caught it in her mouth.

"Holy shit, how did you DO that...!?" Laurie's own mouth fell open as you and Ali giggled.

"It's one of Alina's many, many talents." You snickered mischievously - your best friend nodding in agreement.

"She's not wrong." Sticking her tongue out, Ali lolled against the sofa lazily and sided with you, sounding fairly amused by your remark. "It's something I've worked hard on for years and years upon end."

"Oh, shut up. Like hell you have." Laughing again, you threw a cushion at her and smirked when it hit her right in the face - now feeling reasonably smug.

"It's 1am now, isn't it...?" Laurie brought up tiredly - exhaustion hitting not only her, but you and Alina too. And it hit you all hard. "Don't you think that it's best we call it a night and throw in the towel...?"

It was then that you finally agreed to sleep; you and Laurie sleeping on the separate sofas whilst Ali generously snuggled into the armchair. It was strange - in less than a day, Laurie had become like...like a little sister to you. Huh...weird. Once Ali had supplied pillows and blankets, you snuggled underneath the warm fabric and closed your eyes - hoping to get some good rest and forget about the nightmarish stress of reality. Praying that you wouldn't have another nightmare, your consciousness slowly faded; your mind swiftly entering sweet slumber as you stopped paying attention to your surroundings and fell fast asleep, rolling over to your side sleepily.

All of a sudden something soft cradled your cheek; your sleepy brain registering it as somebody's hand. It felt...nice. Comforting, even. Like you wouldn't have any nightmares, or think negatively whatsoever. The hand moved from cupping your face to stroking your hair, the soothing actions lulling you further to sleep almost immediately. The only thing that snapped you out of said trance and comforting touches was the...heavy breathing...? W-Who was in the living room with you three—!? With a sharp breath you sat up, your eyes scanning the room carefully for any trespassers. But alas, the room was empty - well, except for you guys.

As the clock on the wall ticked in the background, silence became the main sound whilst car lights occasionally lit-up the room. You could've sworn someone was in here with you...Had you been lucid dreaming...? You undeniably felt a hand...or at least, it felt very realistic. It couldn't have been Alina or Laurie, because their skin wasn't as rough as the one that had touched you. So if they hadn't touched you...then who had...? The following night you had another particularly frightening dream - the twisted reality not being something you wanted to see.

You dreamt about the child version of Michael searching for you, his striking blue-eyes shining with insanity while he screamed your name. The very thought made you feel on-edge; so much so that you woke up yelling yourself. Ali gave you a very calming hug and Laurie rushed off to get a glass of water, your body shaking as tears pricked at the edge of your eyes. It was true that you were under a lot of pressure - what with being hunted down by an infamous serial killer and trying to survive, but why all the nightmares...!? How was this fair...!?

"Here you go, (Y/n). A cold glass of water always calms me down after something scary." Laurie passed you the glass and patted your back - plainly wanting to help somehow.

"It'll pass, trust me." Ali sweetly consoled, wrapping her arm around your waist and also trying to calm you down. "It's only the stress of being pursued by Michael. Dr. Loomis will catch him and this'll all be over soon."

"Regardless, I think I'll just head back to my apartment for a bit. Sorry, I just..." Stumbling over your words, you sipped at the water and picked up your bag; heading towards the front door once you'd placed said glass on the coffee table.

"I understand. But I know you'll be thinking of what will happen if he doesn't. So...-if he doesn't...?" Waiting for your answer, Alina followed you into the hallway; Laurie echoing her movements.

"If he doesn't...I'll either die or get abducted. I'm not even sure which is worse. See you later, Ali, Laurie." You said goodbye in a low voice, giving each of them a hug and shooting them each a sad smile.

Moving over to your own apartment, you pulled out your front door key and approached your front door; something strange catching your attention on the porch steps. Curious, the odd thing forced you to take a closer look. And after you did, you released a shrill scream. Because it wasn't something normal, like a sleeping cat or a plastic bag. It was...It was a dead squirrel, crucified onto some small twigs. Your name was written in its blood across the paved stone, the dead smell causing you to bend over and throw up. This...This had to be a dream. No...No. Some sort of horrifying nightmare.
