Preface
Many people today believe that the Bible is difficult to understand. They think that only the pastors, ministers, and theologians are endowed by God with special powers to understand it well. But this is not so. God intends that all people, regardless of their status in life, may know Him. For "he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27).
The Bible is the expressed and written story of how God loves men so much that He gave His one and only Son Jesus to die on the cross so that "whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John3:16).
The Bible is, indeed, His story throughout history. That's why this book you are now holding has been designed to help you understand the major teachings of the Bible. You will be guided through a systematic study of God's Word in a simplified question-and-answer format. A question is asked, followed by a Bible passage that provides the answer to the question.
You will both be surprised and thrilled to learn that these great Scripture truths are easy to understand. We pray that you may have the spirit of the Bereans, who "received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11).
May the Holy Spirit be with you as you study the Holy Scriptures for "when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth..." (John 16:13).
