1. What two kinds of resurrection did Jesus teach?
"Don't marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice, and will come out; those who have done good, to there resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment." John 5:28, 29.
2. When will the resurrection to life of the believers take place?
"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God's trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first." 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
3. What will happen to the living believers at the second coming of Jesus?
"Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever." 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
4. What will happen to the wicked at the second coming of Jesus?
"When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, punishing those who don't know God, and to those who don't obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus, who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might." 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.
"Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming." 2 Thessalonians 2:8.
5. What will God do to Satan at that time?
"I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years, and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more...." Revelation 20:1-3.
6. How does the Bible describe the devastation of the earth at the second coming of Jesus?
"There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as has not happened since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, and so mighty. The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell.... Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found." Revelation 16:18-20.
7. Will there be any human being alive on earth during this time?
"I saw the earth, and, behold, it was waste and void, and the heavens, and they had no light. I saw the mountains, and behold, they trembled, and all the hills moved back and forth. I saw, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the sky had fled. I saw, and behold, the fruitful field was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down...." Jeremiah 4:23-26.
8. Where will the wicked remain during this period?
"The slain of Yahweh will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They won't be lamented. They won't be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground." Jeremiah 25:33.
9. Are the wicked resurrected at the same time as the righteous?
No.
"The rest of the dead didn't live until the thousand years were finished." Revelation 20:5.
10. Where did Jesus promise to take His followers at His return?
"Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also."John 14:1-3.
11. The righteous are taken to heaven at the second coming of Jesus. But for how long? What is one thing they will do there?
"Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years." Revelation 20:6.
"I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn't worship the beast nor his image, and didn't receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." Revelation 20:4.
12. Who will the saints judge during the millennium?
"Don't you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Don't you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?" 1 Corinthians 6:2, 3.
13. What will happen to Satan at the end of the thousand years?
"...until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time." Revelation 20:3.
14. When the wicked dead are resurrected at the end of the thousand years, what will Satan and the wicked do at this time and what will happen to them?
"And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth ... to gather them together to the war; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. They went up over the width of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.... Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire." Revelation 20:7-9, 14.
15. Where will be the permanent home of the saved?
"I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, 'Behold, God's dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.'" Revelation 21:1-3.
