Chapter 10: What Is He Trying To Prove?

Hey guys new chapter...again! Enjoy x.

I slept pretty peacefully last night except for the blaring of my stupid alarm at seven in the morning that was making me start to hate Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings. Oh who am I kidding, I can never hate that song.

Last night, before I returned to my room, I made a quick stop at Aunt Lila's room. I wanted to confirm the plan for tomorrow so that I knew what time to wake up at and also to know if my mom had the spare room card so that she doesn't end up being locked out if I fall asleep before she arrives. Aunt Lila repeated Ron's words as she mentioned that we would start the day by visiting Madame Tussauds.

I woke up this morning really excited, not only because it finally sunk in that I was in London and that there was a whole city past these walls that was waiting to be explored, but also because I've heard so much about Madame Tussauds. I wonder how many of the celebrities I would actually know!? Quite a lot I think.

We agreed to meet at the breakfast area at about eight so I had an hour to get ready. My mom was currently using the shower so I decided to occupy myself with the view outside my room. I walked over to the window and pushed aside the deep red wall-length curtains.

There was a cute little café across the road from the hotel. It looked like the perfect place to read a book or to just chill. Hmm I should probably go there one of these days.

Beside the café were rows of houses with a bunch of brilliant yellow flowers growing in front of them. I saw one of those classic red London buses drive along the street in front of the hotel and watched as it stopped not too far away from the hotel, maybe about three hundred metres from the entrance of the hotel.

I better get the information on the public transport here as soon as I can because that would be our main means of transport and usually people like my mom, Ron and Aunt Lila trusted me in navigation. I simply like knowing where I'm going so that I can plan the best route there. With that in mind, I quickly searched for a map of the subway system of London and downloaded it along with the map of London on GMaps. GMaps is my saving grace whenever I'm in a place that's foreign to me.

I heard the door to the bathroom open and collected the things that I needed before heading into the bathroom.

I took twenty minutes in the bathroom where ten minutes was spent on my shower and the other ten minutes was spent on moisturizing, and putting on minimal make-up as well as combing my long locks. I decided to pair my black tights with a faded blue denim long-sleeved top which sleeves I folded such that it reached the middle of my forearm.

I clipped on an infinity necklace around my neck such that the chain was hidden under the collar of my top and secured a leather bracelet around my wrist which was a gift from Nash and Lisa. I wore it almost everywhere I went. Most importantly, I rolled a hairband on my wrist in case it was really windy and my hair decides to go wild and attack my face.

I exited the bathroom and my mom was still getting ready. I swear she takes forever to get ready. Hence, why she gets up half an hour earlier than me and yet I'm still the first one ready!

"Mom, shall I go see if Aunt Lila and Shane's mom are ready? I mean I don't know about Shane's mom but I'm pretty sure Aunt Lila is ready." Aunt Lila was one of the rare women I know that are actually fast in getting ready.

"Okay honey. Tell you what, you can head on over to their room and give them some of our Milo packets too for them to keep and then I'll see you guys there in like ten minutes because I'm almost done here."
