Charlotte
We got back from the shops at around six o'clock, it was cold and dark and the perfect time to start watching movies while we ate as much food as possible.
We had spent almost thirty dollars on junk food and drinks and I was honestly just ready to chill out and relax for the first time in weeks.
We each grabbed two bags from the boot of the car and walked towards the gate when I recognised the red Ford parked up against the curb in front of some fancy car that I had never seen before.
It was a deep green colour that wasn't very obvious in the dark and the wheels were almost twice the size of normal cars. The license plate had been personalised.
It seemed way too fancy for our part of town.
Don't get me wrong, where I lived there were some pretty wealthy families but no one showed off their wealth too much, it was a quite area where you'd expect everyone to get along and be equals, very cheesy, yes, but it was true. No one flashed their big expensive cars or designer clothes or watches.
I brushed it off, ignoring the strange new car but groaned at the thought of talking to my mother.
"What's up?" Amy asked as she made her way to my side.
"My mother is home." I said.
"Fuck. Is it still alright that I'm over?"
"Yeah, we'll just go upstairs before she notices we're home."
We walked up to the front door but I couldn't shake this horrible feeling.
It was like guilt but more shaky.
My mind was clouded with warning signs and the hairs on my neck stood up on end.
I opened the door and we walked inside, there was a very odd scent that I didn't recognise and my eyes immediately scanned as much of the house as I could see from the front door.
I put down the bags before inhaling deeply. The one thing I could tell was that this person was definitely not supernatural.
When you had been a werewolf for a while and had gotten used to all of the flaws and perks, it became normal to tell scents apart.
I could tell that this person was male, older and he smoked, I could smell the bitter scent coming from him.
I could tell that he was in the kitchen with my mother and Liam, which made me wonder, why was this odd man sat with my family.
Amy could sense my anxiety and put her bags down and I could tell she was ready to face whoever was in the house.
I could tell that this man had a lot of hate running through his body, maybe not at that exact time but he was definitely a very angry person.
Another smell that stuck out to me was blood. It was only a little bit and it seemed days if not weeks old but it was a faint smell mixed in with all of the others.
With Amy following closely behind, I slowly walked towards the door of the kitchen, I exhaled slowly before finally being able to see the open space and my stomach dropped.
"Oh fuck." I breathed.
Liam was sat on the opposite side of the island and my mother next to him, they all turned to look at me and the change in his face sent a shiver down my spine.
He had the audacity to smile at me. His moustache twitched with the movement just like I remembered it too.
"What's going on?" Amy whispered to me.
