After a few seconds of silence, I looked up into the shards if mirror and met his eyes.

"You can speak Welsh." I stated.

"Where do you think you started learning?"

"I didn't learn it for you, I learnt it for.. a friend." I said not wanting to give away more than what was necessary.

"Why did you put all of that metal in your face?"

"You should see the rest of them. Why are you here?"

"Such serious questions, I might almost begin to think that you don't like me very much."

"Maybe it's time for you to start thinking more." I looked down at my knuckle and everything was healed normally.

"Your mother is quite oblivious, isn't she? She really believes I want to get the family back together." Now it was his turn to scoff.

"Well then what are you here for?"

"I think you're well aware." He held his hands behind his back and that almost made him look menacing.

"Enlighten me." I squinted my eyes at him through the mirror.

"Well, obviously I came back for you, I want to join you, make me a part of your pack, one of your betas and I can be of great use to you." He said with a straight face.

I was stunned.

My jaw locked in space and I couldn't say anything - not that there was really anything that could be said.

He wanted to be a werewolf? Why was he with Monroe then?

Why would he want to be in my pack? I'd be his alpha, his leader. Unless he wanted to kill me, that was a very likely possibility.

Unless he was lying, another likely possibility.

"You'd just kill me, take my place as alpha." I said calmly. He knew I was a werewolf, there was no hiding it so there was really no point in trying to avoid it.

"No. I want to join you, think of all of the amazing things we could do, we could take over this entire town," he took a step towards me, "this entire country." Another step. "We could be known everywhere." He took one last step towards me before I spun around and he immediately stopped, he was only about three steps away from being right in my face.

"And what about Liam?" I asked.

"What about him?" He asked, very clearly not understanding why this would be an issue.

I could've believe him, Liam was the only person that still actually like him, had any value for him at all and he didn't even care.

"Where would he fit in in all of this?"

"Liam is... insignificant. He's just part of another pack, he is no use to us." He said.

I felt my jaw clench, I knew he was a terrible father but he was just terrible.

"But he's my brother and unlike you I stick by my family."

"What about your mother?" He asked.

"She is no more a parent to me than you are. She's a drunk and a liar, you really think she misses you? Well, no she doesn't, she just wants some extra cash." I smirked.

He gave no reaction. "So we're playing each other. Oh well. My plan still stands." He said.

He took another step closer and at this point I was cornered, there was no where I could go to get away.

"Why do you even want this? Aren't you some sort of proud hunter?"

"You're right." His entire demeanour changed from being snarky and manipulative to being evil and vile. "Sweetheart, this is going to hurt you a hell of a lot mor than it will me."

I had no time to react before he pulled out a sharp thin knife from his pocket, the world seemed to go in slow motion, the blade was covered in some sort of yellow liquid that cling to the metal. He held it tightly in his hand and it was then that I saw that he was - indeed - a professional killer.

He lifted it into the air and stabbed it straight into my neck.

The pain immediately shot throughout my entire body as I fell to my knees, I pulled the knife out of my skin and threw it to the floor, my hands clamped down on the wound.

I looked at the knife and the blood was smoking, literally burning and bubbling like oil.

I then realised that it was wolfsbane.

I looked up at Sean but my vision was blurred and my head was spinning.

I was in agonising pain, my blood was on fire and I felt like I could explode, I wanted to faint and throw up at the same time.

A voice then became distorted in my ears, "sorry for tricking you but we can't have someone like you out on the streets."

And then I fell, I got a break from the pain and I felt like cold water had been splashed on my face.
