Charlotte

I slowly opened my eyes only to be met with darkness, that and a horrific ache all over my body.

I couldn't remember anything, where the hell was I?

I felt a tight fabric covering my mouth, it was wrapped so tightly around my neck that it was pushing my lips flat.

I felt a restriction around my stomach and hands, as my sense woke up a little I came to realise that it was rope, it irritated my skin but unfortunately that seemed to be the least of my worries.

My eyes eventually warmed up to the darkness a little and I could see certain outlines of objects, tall cabinets were all lay out I front of me but I couldn't see anything else. The room seemed quite empty, maybe a storage room? A basement?

A muffled groan escaped my lips as I stopped ignoring the pain. My body felt like it was on fire, no part of my body was cold whatsoever. My fingers and toes tingled and my chest was ready to rip itself apart.

Everything was overwhelming me at that point, uncomfortableness of the rope and fabric, the fact I couldn't see, my body burning and the fact that everything smelt so overwhelming.

I hadn't quite gotten used to my senses again so the fact that I could smell so many humid bodies was disgusting.

All of a sudden a blinding light switches on from above me, blanketing me in a yellow ish glow, it took a minute for my eyes to adjust but then I could make out dozens and dozens of people stood looking at me, people I didn't even recognise were staring at me.

I did recognise a few though, Nolan, Gabe, Monroe and... Sean..

It all came flooding back to me, everything that had happened in the changing rooms, Sean tricking me and stabbing me with wolfsbane.

I could feel the sweat building on my forehead as my eyes scanned everyone who was looking at me. They ranged from all ages, all of them hunters, all of them despising me.

"Well, what did I tell you all?" Sean started in an enthusiastic tone as if he was opening a circus act. He jumped up onto the platform where my chair was positioned and looked down at all of his followers. "I told you we'd get her and now that we've got her, we'll get them all." He smirked.

Monroe looked up at him with a proud smile stretched across her face. She held her hand up and Sean grabbed it, assisting her onto the platform to stand next to him and in front of me like I was some attraction at a museum.

"You see, no that we have her, they'll all fall in line. First, her brother, then his pack, then the rest of her pack, then they will all come out of hiding. They're a very loyal species, it's a sort of one for all type game. Then, there will be none left and you'll have nothing to worry about any longer." She boomed.

It struck me that that was how she was playing it, fear. She was scaring them all into joining her little... club.

I had to admit that she wasn't wrong though. That was exactly what would happen only a few more steps would have to be involved, there would be a huge war, lots of lives would be lost and in the end it will all be useless as there is always one pack that remains pacifist throughout it all, they'll stay hidden, out of sight out of mind, they'll repopulate the supernatural world and it'll all happen again in three hundred years time.

My mind still clouded with confusion though, what was there end game? To kill all of the supernatural but why? I guess they figured it would keep them safe but if I'd learnt anything then a couple of werewolves and a banshee was the least of their worries.

"How can we be sure though?" Nolan started. "How do we know that everything will be fine when they're dead?"

"Because they are the root of our problem, they kill us, feed on us and you're trying to tell me that this is a bad idea?" Monroe countered.
