Charlotte
I closed the door behind me and prepared to see Liam. I could also sense Theo's presence so I knew that he would be able to calm Liam down. I breathed out slowly and took off my coat and hung it on the rack. I stood at the bottom of the stairs.
"Liam? Are you home?" I shouted up.
"Yeah." He yelled back.
"Well, I'm not staying but I wanted to tell you that I'm going to Fiona's house."
I heard him sigh and he came to the top of the stairs with Theo behind him. "Can I talk to you before you go?" He asked.
"Well.. yeah, I guess, but I don't have a lot of time." I said as I walked into the kitchen, I heard them coming down the stairs. I grabbed a bottle of coke from the fridge and sat on one of the stools and they sat opposite me. I opened the bottle and took a mouthful.
"So.. did you get in trouble for Nolan?" He asked.
"No, I got a slight warning from the coach but that was about it really."
"Where have you been? I've come home at night sometimes and you weren't here."
"I.. was staying with Stiles. He's been helping me with a few things."
"Stiles? Why Stiles?" I could hear the slight anger in his tone, he was very protective which might not be great.
"I told you, he's been helping me with a few things and seeing as you haven't been here, I didn't want to be here alone."
"But you live here now, why would you want to go and stay with Stiles?"
"You live here too. Where have you been these last few days?" I asked, raising my tone slightly.
"I was with Theo."
"So you can hang out with someone no problem, but when I make one friend in this mournful town it's not ok? Liam, I can't just move on this quickly, ok? I just left my entire life to move here for you, I've been here for nearly two weeks and I haven't seen you for half of that time."
"Charlie.. I.. I didn't think about it like that. I-" He started.
"No, Liam, of course you didn't. I've got to go." I said as I stood up.
I walked out of the house, slamming the door on my way out. I got onto my bike and made my way to Fiona's. I can't believe him. He didn't understand me at all, I thought he would understand, I thought he would be the one person in the entire world who understood me. Clearly, I was wrong.
When I got to her house, I parked my bike and opened the door myself. I closed the door behind me and called out, telling them to meet me in the living room.
One by one, they made their way to the front room. We all stood up and they could tell I was anxious.
"Charlotte, what's going on?" Amy asked.
"I have a few things to tell you but I'll save the worst of it till last. So, I've sort of started seeing someone, his name is Stiles and I've been staying with him recently as Liam hasn't been at home. We haven't really had the conversation but we've gotten quite close."
"Wait, Stiles as in, the cute one from when I came to yours?" Amy asked.
I smiled and nodded.
"Oh mon Dieu, that's amazing." She said excitedly.
"Well, this isn't so much. I had an argument with Liam before I came here because he was mad at me for not being home. If it's alright with you, would I be able to stay here for a while? I can sleep on the sofa-"
