A year after the tweet by Double Black, the one that broke the internet, the two members of the musical duo found themselves at a movie theatre. In disguise, obviously.

It was a very special occasion. Today was the Japan premiere of their movie, titled 'Double Black, The Concert Film'. Both Dazai and Chuuya had been working on this huge project for the last few months, and they had finally announced the project a month ago, in true Double Black style.

After all, were they really even Double Black if 'breaking the internet' was not on their To-Do List every other day? Of course they were not. Honestly, their fans were very much done with them by now. Most of them wished their younger selves had chosen better idols to obsess with. At least in that case, they wouldn't have gone through so much heartbreak, right?

But oh well, nothing to be done about it. Double Black's hiatus after three years of being a musical duo ended exactly a year ago today, and this time the fans were convinced that Double Black were here to stay. Everybody deserved second chances; so, they decided to trust the asshole duo with their hearts a second time.

Anyway, that's all in the past now. Today was the one year anniversary of Double Black's reunion, and their identity reveal. Exactly a month ago from today, they had taken to their official twitter account to announce the movie project.

The tweet had just been the poster of the movie, which was a picture of Dazai and Chuuya standing under the blue skies, their backs close together, Chuuya looking at the sky, and Dazai not-so-subtly looking at Chuuya. The picture was captioned, "Double Black, The Concert Film. In all Japan theatres on 28 September 2019. Look forward to it <3"

Of course, the tweet came to become Double Black's second most retweeted tweet (the first being their reunion announcement and identity reveal, of course), and the comments were full of fans going through aneurisms. Where was the fucking warning, damn it?!

 The largely awaited day finally arrived after a serious test of everyone's patience. Today was the premiere of the movie. Dazai and Chuuya had decided to watch it in theatres themselves; it'd be really funny to see everyone's reactions, they figured. And honestly, it probably would. Hence, they threw on their disguises and walked to the nearest theatre from their apartment. 

Chuuya had fortunately had the good sense to pre-book tickets. There was no way they'd get to watch the movie in theatres otherwise. It was already very crowded. In fact, they even saw a few people crying outside the theatre because they couldn't get tickets. It would never stop being surreal, as Chuuya told Dazai. 

Like, somebody was actually crying because they didn't manage to secure tickets to the first day showing of the movie. They could always come back the next day, but they were still upset over missing the highly coveted premiere showing. Wasn't that crazy?

Dazai and Chuuya couldn't help but feel guilty as they walked past those upset fans. The shorter half of them murmured softly, "I hope they manage to get some merch, at least."

The other nodded in agreement as they made their way towards the entrance of the cinema hall, and got their tickets checked. 

Presently, both members of Double Black had managed to take their seats in the topmost row of the movie hall, their popcorn ready and their beverages still fizzy. The big screen was already playing the pre-showing advertisements. 

Dazai spoke as he reached his hand out for popcorn, "Look Chuuya, pocky stick advertisements! As if they need to make those."

As expected, his partner swatted his arm away, "You can't touch the popcorn until the movie starts, asshole."
