Due to the incessant buzzing of his phone, Dazai rolled over in his sleep before picking it up and mumbling a response, "Hello? Ah, Manager-san?"
Two whole beats later, "With Chuuya? Sure. Okay. Bye bye."
Almost as if he had bat-like hearing, the mentioned redhead called out from the kitchen, "What was that about me?"
The other just called out sleepily, "Manager-san asked you to call her back."

As it turned out, the urgent calls from their common manager was about something they had to film today. For some context and backstory, Bungou Stray Dogs was a top-rated TV series in the recent few years. It was a multi-genre show, with various plots and sub-plots and there was a common running joke within the fandom that went something along the lines of, "what is the plot of bsd?"
Still, the show had the highest ratings on every platform and had amassed millions of viewers worldwide, due to its brilliance and the fun-factor of the show. It certainly helped that the whole entire cast of the show seemed to be exactly like their on-screen characters; personalities, dynamics and everything. To play into this exact thing, anytime the cast got interviewed or filmed any YouTube videos related to the show, they stuck to using their on-screen names. It made the viewing experience so much for comical for the audience.
The same was true for the actors of Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya. They were rivals on-screen and rivals in real life, especially in their film industry. Other than Bungou Stray Dogs, both of them often starred in shoujos and rom-coms and all that. Considering how different their physical features were, they should normally have no reason to professionally hate each other so much, but well, perhaps the on-screen rivalry had really gotten to them?
As for today, it was apparently Teddy Day or something of that sort, the fourth day of Valentine's Week. While they really had no idea as to why this week was a thing and how it work, they were still called in to film a video for Valentine's Day, by some popular entertainment Youtube Channel.
The two actors reached the set one after the other, only a few minutes apart. As soon as both of them had arrived and caught their breaths, they were whisked into the dressing room to touch up on their make-up for the cameras. As soon as that was done, they were plopped onto a comfortable couch right in front of the camera and bright studio lights.
Somebody came along and handed them a box of larger-than-usual picture cards, all of them facing downwards in a stack. The concept of the video was elaborated upon soon after. The two of them were supposed to react to Dazai's "ships", which seemingly referred to potential relationships between Dazai and other characters on the show. Apparently, there were quite a lot of ships for him?
Dazai echoed the director's words to confirm, "So we pick up a picture and reveal it to the camera?"
Chuuya added, "And then talk shit about the ship. Got it."
The director laughed, "Yes, and we just want your honest reactions."
With that, the entire crew at the set got the go-ahead to get started on their jobs. The two seasoned actors started as soon as the cameras started rolling,
"Hello everyone! I'm Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs-"
"-and I'm Chuuya, and we're here to wish you guys a Happy Valentine's Day."
"For this wonderful occasion, we bring you an exciting video where-"
"I talk shit about all of Dazai's ships that you guys have come up with over all these years."
Dazai just giggled at that before displaying the box of picture cards to the camera and explaining the concept of the video in brief. As soon as all the introductory stuff was done, they could finally get started with the actual fun part of the video.
