"I know what I'm getting myself into,"

With a tone so soft, its genuineness so lucid, its cyber limbs weaken and fall to the wet ground.

"This rain isn't good for you, your limbs are detached, you're missing an arm... an eye..."

"No, I said no."

Its voice is distorted nearly beyond a coherent point, buzzing and grating against its vocal box's own machinery. It suits the constant jittering and spasming of its body.
Taking advantage of its sudden unconsciousness was the only way the man could help.

His tone is quiet but never deprived of patience, laying just a level above the humming of an AC. The weather has been above the bearable, even for summer junkies.

A towel drapes over his shoulders, catching dripping from a freshly-washed head of hair as he faces the window, his midriff towards the AC. A soft sigh is given.

"Yeah, another one... I'm not scared of them, though." He states rather carelessly.

The woman on the other side of the call gives another line of distress and concern, all of which is dismissed by the man's silence.

"A deviant, Deku... you know that they're known to lash out and attack anyone nearby, right?"
"Uraraka, the stories you read all involved the androids being either in a harmful situation or in awful conditions...-- they were all attacked first before they acted in self-defense,"

On the lack of a rebuttal, she gives a heavy sigh.

"What's it doing now?"
"He's deactivated, I had to leave him in the basement because of the state that he's in, but I'm gonna have to bring him up to...--"
"--It's not a person..."

His mind falters on the response he had gotten. It sounded out of line.

"What?"
"You're calling it a "he"," and she gives an awkward, defeated chuckle to boost her point. "I know they look human... but don't forget that they're nothing more but pieces of metal and a few thousand wires,"

The man, after a pause taken to hold back his aggravation, pushes out; "Uraraka... I would have never expected you, of all people, to act so ruthless towards anything," and the woman gives a heavy chuckle in response.

"I've seen what they can do."

Leaving the call felt like self-care.
He has been surrounded by unwanted opinions-- opinions of which he is now beginning to loathe. With his opinions being constantly stepped over, shutting out opinions that disagree with his own has since become easier to do.

The buzzing and stammering of the machine have faded for a while now, a few eventual twitches bringing its limbs to life startling him every now and then. Approaching it feels like a walk in the park to him, while for others, it would feel like suicide.

He sits next to the disabled android, his eyes looking on heavy with pity. Its humanistic features tarnished and stained with humanity's raw hatred tug at the young man's heartstrings. His hands begin to experience a familiar itch...

"Time to get to work."
