"Hey, dad,"

The man looks down, to meet the little boy's eyes. "What's up, Katsuki," he responded, smiling patiently.

"Why does mom always say m'gonna grow up and meet a "good girl"?"

He'd given off that little bashful chuckle and fallen to one knee, to meet his son's gaze. His hand falls onto the spiky head of blond hair, ruffling the spikes which earn a sour frown from the child. "Because everyone does, son!" The man chirps, "you'll grow up a bit more, and you'll find a specific girl... and you'll feel very, very special towards her!"

The boy grimaced in disgust.

"And one day, when you're a big man," the man continued, "you'll buy her a shiny ring! Of any color, and ask her to be yours!"

His gaze says it all; unamusement. Lack of interest.

"What if I don't want to."
"Ohh, that'll change, Katsuki..." he chuckled. "You can't help feelings! And you should never be sorry for that,"

We can't... help... feelings...

And we should... never... be sorry... for that...

"Katsuki, when are you getting that girl to like you,"

The blonde's mood soured immediately. He growled at the unbothered-sounding, exhausted question... he'd been asked that question far too many times.

"When are you gonna try to get her to like you!"
"When are you swooning her!"
"When are you confessing how you feel!"

He slams his hands down on that dinner table, spitting pure poison and daggers as he glared at his mother.

"I'M NOT DOING SHIT." His voice rumbled at a demand, echoing in the dining room, nearly vibrating with its resonating waves onto the half-emptied crystal glasses.

"Oh, whatever, you say that today, and then next month you're heads over heels, crying and swooni--"
"I HATE. PINK CHEEKS. I'M NOT SAYING SHIT TO A STUPID GIRL!"
"K-Katsuki, be kind, she's only a girl...--" The man hesitantly jumps in.
"SHUT IT! SHE'S NOT JUST A GIRL, SHE'S URARAKA FUCKING OCHAKO-"
"Oh, so the boy feels intimidated--"

"I'M NOT INTO GIRLS!" He screamed.

The way his mother's expression fell was nightmare on earth. He felt that anger stuffing his chest fading, along with his confidence.

He can feels his body slowly leaning back, as if to gain more space between the two.

"Yes you are." The woman responds.
