Y'all--How come I've never seen anyone do this plot with TodoKiri before--?

"Good night... good night... it's time now... to sleep...~" a soft voice sings, as loud as a mere whisper in the calm silence, "~the moon's watching over... you, and.. your dreams..."
In sheltering arms, a baby laid, calm at last in the easygoing motion of swaying arms... under a blanket of the comfort of sweet words singing her to sleep, "~good night... good night... my sweet, little one... tomorrow your eyes... they will light up.. the sun..."

And soft humming ensues, the continuation of a soft lullaby, heaving the baby's eyelids with sleep and comfort... she stays awake, however... she does as she waits for the song's continuation.

The voice picks up again, softer... sweeter... quieter than before; "~but.. good night... good night... sweet dreams.. for now... drift off... to sleep... on your pillow of clouds... good night... good night... my sweet, little friend... tomorrow's adventures... they will.. soon... begin..."

A soft smile occupies his face as he watches with a filling heart, his daughter's eyes fluttering shut heavily until they remain closed.

"~Tomorrow's adventures.. they will... soon... begin..."

And with a few more seconds of swaying... a few more seconds of being aware of the two there, their protective, shielding presences, the sweet little baby girl drifts off to sleep, now handed over to the guardian angels her fathers always send to her.

The soft silence is intervened by the soft footing of sock-protected feet, slow and paced as they approach the man that stood in front of the window, rained down upon by a rich-blue-ish white moonlight. Warm, gentle arms wrap around his waist, slowly gaining a tighter grip, like a hug's.

Now they both stare down at the sleeping girl, proud gazes being all that covered over their eyes through countless glimmers. Smiles widen.

"I thought you headed off to bed already," his voice remained a whisper, still as soft and sweet as it was towards the baby girl. "I was going to meet you there in a bit..." he continued.
"I was on my way," he responded, shrugging lightly, "but I finally caught you singing to her... I couldn't miss it..."

Shoto always sings to his daughter...
His... daughter...

Two years after graduating college, Eijiro had met someone new... someone he thought liked him for himself, who genuinely felt something towards him... And naive-Eijiro, having just been kicked out of his family's house after coming out as gay, and being forced in conversion therapy for his "nonsense and wrong behavior", thought that trying to begin something with a girl would perhaps "change his mind".
The first month of their relationship was just for show... he realizes this now.
The second month, Eijiro had begun to notice the girl loved the attention.

And, Eijiro, having attended U.A and being on the path to becoming a pro-hero was a perfect gold-mine for her.

And within three months, when Eijiro snapped about feeling used by her and accidentally slipping up about genuinely thinking he didn't feel anything towards her,

The girl successfully got Eijiro wasted with alcohol, lured his intoxicated self to unprotected sex, and seriously claimed that Eijiro "couldn't leave her because he had gotten her pregnant".

After winning the case, Eijiro gained full custody of the child once it was born, and moved out of Musutafu... to rejoin with one of his old classmates; Shoto.

Immediately once Eijiro introduced Shoto to the baby girl, Shoto claimed, fearlessly yet jokingly,

"Be careful, I might steal her from you," alongside claiming he'd grown attached immediately.

Eijiro let go of the ridiculous thought of "being straight" and fell for Shoto... Shoto didn't hesitate to adopt Kumo, the baby girl.

And... Eijiro still cries about it sometimes. Not out of sadness, of course... out of genuine relief and happiness.
Shoto is everything Eijiro could have ever prayed for in a partner... and he's twice as everything Eijiro could have ever prayed for in a father, for Kumo.

"She likes to be sung to," Shoto claimed.
"She likes anything her dad does, c'mon..." Eijiro chuckled softly.

And silence took over again... they could stay there for hours, just listening to their daughter snoring softly... hearing each other's regulated breathing, feeling one another against each other... Shoto could hold her for eternity if he could...

But he puts her down, down in her little comfortable crib so she could sleep peacefully... not that she wasn't, already. Everything's peaceful for her as long as her two fathers are around her... hold her...

Eijiro sneaks in one last kiss on the baby girl's hand, before his own hand is taken by Shoto's.

"Bed, love?"
"Bed... bedtime," he agrees, "finally..." he chuckled, "s'been a long day..."

Nothing feels greater than to get in bed, and be hugged and cuddled by his husband after a long day.
To feel those almost repetitive special things he does; how he tugs him in, buries his nose against the crook of his neck and inhales slowly, to only hum out as he exhales... while Eijiro can feel him smiling against his neck, and feel Shoto's body relax completely beside him before he settles with one last kiss against Eijiro's jawline,- It makes Eijiro fall in love just a little deeper... the buildup from over the years makes the love almost impossible to handle, sometimes.

Sometimes.
Most times? He basks in it all... so proudly, so gratefully...

What love is in the lullaby that Shoto sings for their daughter, is equally as big as the love that's in his arms, that hold Eijiro close to his chest...

The love in this little family is equal... equally as big, equally as valuable.

And equally as protected... by both Eijiro, and Shoto.
