Shoto is half-expecting something from Izuku tonight.

He's been clingy today, and he knew for a fact that it wasn't because he was home from work all day, and will be home all day tomorrow as well. He loved the long cuddles... the random kisses... but, he knows his husband.

The clock hit 7:05 p.m when Shoto got up from the couch and hugged Izuku gently, kissing his forehead and humming a soft, "think I'll start winding down now... Restore the hours of sleep I lost from yesterday's patrol," he claimed, referring back to the mission he'd been emergently recruited to at four in the morning.

"Oh... it's early still,- do you want me to make you something light to eat before you head to bed?"

He considers himself so lucky to have Izuku as his husband...

"No, I'm alright, thank you love..." Shoto dismissed, "don't come to bed so late,"

"Not even some tea?"

He smiled patiently at him. "I'm okay."
"Okay... I think I'll head to bed soon..." Izuku claimed, smiling softly as he held onto Shoto's hand still, swinging it sweetly and playfully until Shoto leaned back down to give him the kiss on the lips Izuku waited for.

"Good night, love," Shoto said.
"Night, Sho-Sho..." he hummed.

He'd headed up to their room and did the nightly routine; brushed his teeth in their room's bathroom, washed his face, put on a comfortable pair of boxers and a light, old shirt, to spread himself on cool, freshly-washed sheets over a mountain of pillows, to continue a book he'd begun about a week back. It's a sci-fi book he'd been recommended by a colleague at work, and he's been enjoying it so far.

He loves winding down this way, after a long day. Any day, really, he'll always calm his body down by reading a few pages, and after a calm day like today, he feels at heaven, right there.

At about 8:10 p.m, he hears paced, soft steps walking up the steps of their stairs. And to follow up, he hears two gentle knocks on the door.

"Come in, love," he called out calmly.

Despite being married, the two keep privacy to one another.

It shows that not only do they have trust towards one another, they also show one another that they're allowed to have time for themselves and that they could have privacy.

Izuku walks in slowly, eyes set on Shoto's extremely calm-looking self. He doesn't wear a smile, yet, he looks close to doing so... It's a calm, but a hinting expression.

He sits on the edge of the bed, and Shoto's eyes leave the book immediately. He turns his gaze and attention towards his husband as his hand is stolen by him.
