A pair of silent feet tiptoe their way to the long and wide staircase's top, his steps muffled by the cotton socks onto the expensive carpet. A young prince squats down by the top step as he grabs onto the cold, golden railings, he looks a bit hurt as he listens to the chatter of the king and queen.

"He's just being stubborn, honey, I-I'm sure he's just scared of the new--"
"'Scared',- the boy's never scared, Masaru," the queen dismisses in a harsh tone, "he's being stubborn, of course he is. He's rejected five princesses already- and this poor girl is being shown such atrocious behavior from him as well--"
"Well,-- we should just give him more time,- he's still young-"
"I bet the other prince is doing amazingly with his parents! I bet he's already chosen a princess-!"

"Midoriya is another child, Mitsuki... Katsuki is our little boy, Midoriya is their little boy...-"
"They're teenagers, Masaru-"
"Doesn't change the fact that they're still our own children..." the man asserts in a soft tone, "they're different people, Mitsuki. Katsuki acts one way, and the other young man acts the other."

And the teenager doesn't hear much from the woman anymore...

He stays there for a moment longer, looking numb yet angered and disgusted as his grip tightened on the railings he held onto.
He gets up at last, and returns to his room... shaking his head in pure denial.

He falls on his bed face-first.
His chest is convulsing with a trapped scream... he's been feeling this way for so many sufferable months now, and the lack of sources he has to run off to for help makes him feel worse...

He's never liked it whenever his parents pushed him towards princesses. Ever since he was little, he never liked it. He never talked about it.

Except, he's always talked about someone else.

That short boy he's grown up with... the one with the kind personality... the one who's always patient... the one with the sweet smile, that hasn't changed a bit from the smile he had when they were little.
