Ever since the fighters of the battle arrived back at their dorms from the hospital... something was established.

The dorms would be going into lockdown... everyone were to be quieter, keep their lights on for as long as the battle went on; three hours and forty-seven minutes.
Everyone burned incense before the picture of the fallen... they mourned together. Yet, they told one another to keep strong.

They knew it was what Katsuki would have told them.

Katsuki's room was cleaned, cleansed, and kept open for a day, before being locked and prohibited of anyone entering.

Eijiro was in horrible shape... he'd been the most traumatized, regarding Katsuki's death, and suffered severe guilt and responsibility, even.

The therapy doesn't help much. And whenever the little slivers of times that he actually does begin to rant just a little bit about how he feels, the classmates let him. What he rants about it heartbreaking every time...

"It should have been me."

The room fell quiet. They're confused and under the hands of a lack of context.

"What... should have been you...?" Denki spoke up.

Eijiro stared on, his gaze numbed yet neglecting. "I shouldn't have survived that damned hell."

They all feel their words choke back. Their hearts sunk, the atmosphere in the room felt so much heavier, so quickly.

"N-...No, Kirishima-..." Hanta stepped in, his voice quiet and meek.
"He... sacrificed himself... for me..." Eijiro gritted out, "meaning I... was the reason...-"

"Kirishima," Shoto spoke up, "do not blame yourself for someone's death. Bakugo did what he did because he chose to do what he did. He cared about you... and it was obvious. And just like anyone as close as he was to you would have done, they would have done whatever they could to make sure you made out of that battle alive."

He's about to interject, but Shoto continued. "It saddens me to know that if he were, truly, in your place... he would have been doing the same. Blaming himself for your fall.- But it wasn't...- we were all... set up to fail...- a-and it was a consequence--"

"DO NOT... CALL HIS DEATH...- A-...!" He shouted, furious and red on the face with the urge to burst out in overwhelming, trapped tears, "DON'T BELITTLE K-KATSUKI'S DEATH-!" he cried.
"I did not... belittle his death, Kirishima--"
"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND...-- Y-YOU WEREN'T THE LAST PERSON HE SAW! HE DIDN'T SACRIFICE HIS LIFE FOR YOU, DID HE?!"

Most covered their mouths... they stared on in pure concern and distress as Eijiro shouted what he did.
Tenya steps in cautiously.

"Kirishima... we are all... tremendously upset..." his voice is heavy and strained, "Katsuki did what he stepped on that battlefield to do... and it was to be a hero,"

Eijiro shook his head vigorously... rocking side to side, even, as he did so, before slamming his hands up to the sides of his head, picking himself apart with trapped sobs as his knees threatened to buckle.
