JENNIE'S POV:

'Ding Ding Ding, the order has been accepted.'

I got the notification from that Rent A Girlfriend app about my order. It seemed that Lili quickly accepted my order because it took less than a minute for her to confirm the service. I sighed and chatted her first:

            Jennie: Lili, are you there?

In less than a minute, Lili replied with:

Lili: Yes, Unnie. I just woke up from my long nap and found that you had ordered me again. I thought you said you want to order another rental girlfriend.

I sighed again. Truthfully, if I could, I would rather hire a random okay-looking rental girlfriend just to appease my parents. Lili was too good, too beautiful. It didn't make sense for a regular office secretary like me to suddenly date a gorgeous model. This was not a romcom novel about a rental girlfriend!

Jennie: Something happened with this trash application. I could only pick you now, my rental boyfriend! Damn this!

Lili: Hmm ... I don't know, Unnie. Have you tried contacting customer service? Maybe they can fix it. I don't want to force you into hiring me.

Jennie: Yeah, it's weird. It feels like someone is targeting me, so I can pick you only. Do you really know nothing about this problem, Lili?

Lili: No, Unnie. I'm busy with my work here. I instantly forgot about our date before. It definitely doesn't make me overthink stuff at all. I am just surprised that you would hire me again.

I frowned at Lili's reply. Because she made it as if yesterday's date was not memorable at all. It was my first date, and it was amazing, so I got a bit offended. My conscience wanted to ask Lili whether yesterday's date was really forgettable, but my pride said that I shouldn't be too emotionally involved with a rental girlfriend. Since rental girlfriend were just a service to suck your money dry. Thus, out of pride, I typed.

Jennie: I also forgot about our date yesterday. I just return back and sleep. I don't even remember your face after I leave.

                          Lisa: Really?

                          Jennie: Yes.

Lili: Same here. I don't remember your face at all, Unnie.

I somehow felt aggravated when Lili said she also didn't remember my face. I got it. It was me who said it first. But I felt annoyed and disappointed at the same time. I texted the last message before throwing my phone on the bed and went to take a bath.

LISA'S POV:

Jennie: Alright, I will book a train ticket for two people. We will go to my parent's hometown next Saturday, can you meet me today? I want to tell you a few things about what to do and what not when meeting my parents .

Lisa could sense that Jennie unnie was annoyed or mad after saying that she didn't remember her face at all.

Which was a total lie since Lisa kept on thinking about Jennie for the whole night after they finished their date. She couldn't even sleep or eat because she kept thinking why Jennie wasn't interested in her at all.

She didn't mean to say something like that. It was just her pride. Lisa was used to be flocked with women and men left and right whenever there was a hugely prestigious event. And she didn't like any of them. She found them a bit too vulgar for her taste.

Of course, she also had few instances of women trying something different, like trying to act nonchalant, so she could be that 'you are not like other girls.'

While, in fact, Lisa could read their mind from their eyes, it was crystal clear that they were not so nonchalant inside.

But when she was with Jennie, it reminded her so much of Batman-J. The way she tried to be the big sister when she got scared, and how she didn't seem to be plotting anything in her head. She didn't try to act nonchalant, and often nagged about many things.

It was such a breath of fresh air for Lisa.

"Ah, why did I said something like that, Lalisa, you idiot!" Lisa cursed herself. Thus, she replied to Jennie's text with:

Lili: Okay, Unnie. I am free for the day.

There was no immediate answer from Jennie, which got Lisa restless.

'Does she get mad because I said that? I really didn't mean it in a bad way ... ' The more Lisa think about it, the guiltier she got.

She started googling something that could pacify an angry woman in bing, "Things that would stop a person from getting angry."

And the first thing that Lisa saw was chocolate. She started reading, and the article said that people loved sweets. A sincere apology and a chocolate bar were usually enough to satisfy your loved one.

Lisa stopped reading when she read the last words, then she threw her phone on the sofa, her face turned beet red because of that article she just read.

"W-Who is in love? I'm not in love! I just want to meet Jennie Unnie because I need a fake girlfriend!" Lisa denied. She shook her head, try to deny even more, "How could someone fall in love with only one date? This is not a wattpad!"

Lisa hurriedly assured herself in her heart. She needed to stay faithful for her Batman-J. How could her heart wavered for another woman when she had Batman-J in her heart!

"Lalisa, don't be stupid! Batman-J is waiting for you. How could you be so unfaithful!"
