JENNIE POV:

"P-Pardon, Ma'am, I might've misheard-"

"You didn't, I said, I give you two my blessing."

Okay, I might have accidentally hit my head somewhere because I heard clearly that Madam Evelynn had given us her blessing.

Okay, I definitely hit my head somewhere.

"M-Ma'am, I think I've hit my head somewhere. I really thought that you said you gave us your blessing-"

"That's what I said. I give you two my blessing," Madam Manoban replied. "But that doesn't mean I have accepted you fully. I just acknowledged that Lisa treasures you a lot, so I have to respect her choice at least."

Lisa and I stared at each other, still unsure of what response I should show for this good news. Madam Manoban finally gave us her blessing, but she still didn't recognize me as her daughter-in-law.

She instead recognized and respected Lisa's choice.

"You're with Lisa, right? Give the phone to her," Madam said.

"W-Wait, about that one, how did you know that she's with me?" I asked bluntly. I remembered that Lisa didn't make any sound before.

Madam Evelynn chuckled, "When she returns to Seoul, you will be the one she meets first. It's just her priority, I guess. So it's obvious that she must've stayed with you right now."

I stared at Lisa, who was just as speechless as I am, then I gave the phone to her.

"Hello, mom," Lisa greeted her mom.

"My daughter, I want to say sorry for what I did two days ago. I thought you must've been blinded for whatever reason by Jennie. So by giving you a chance to sleep with many beautiful women, you might've realized your mistake."

"But I didn't expect you to fight off the aphrodisiac and even stormed off the building. I've asked a few of the security guards around your apartment in New York, and they said they didn't see you coming with anyone ... even after that high dose of aphrodisiacs."

"So I've realized that your love for Jennie must've been so great because you can hold on for so long just because of one woman," Madam Evelynn said. She chuckled a bit, "I guess you're more similar to your dad, Lili.?

"I still have something to do. You two should prepare for your wedding and get that marriage certificate. I don't want to hear any problem. If you need money, just tell me, though I doubt you will need my money at all."

"I don't need your money, Mom. But I hope you can come to our wedding day later," Lisa said.

"Of course, how can I not come to my daughter's wedding day?" Madam chuckled. "Just tell your girlfriend that we will have our own private meeting, between her and me later. I want to talk with her. Don't worry, I won't insult her" Madam said before hanging up the call.

Lisa and I stared at each other again, and her glimmering hazel eyes had a bit of tear and a big smile on her face, "Nini, we got her blessing!"

"Nini?" Lisa held my hands, "Nini, are you there?"

"I ... I don't understand .... " I stared at Lisa. "What did you do when you were in New York? Tell me now."
