Chapter 79

LISA POV:

"Stop crying ah, you Drama Monkey! How could I bring you to meet my parents if you keep crying like this! They will think that you're not strong enough for me!"

Lisa was stunned when she heard that. She stared at Jennie and stopped crying. She blinked few times before asking, "You... you want me to be your girlfriend to meet your family? In the village?"

Jennie sighed. Truth to be told, she didn't want it either. But the situation called for it. She had met with another rental girlfriend this evening. She was amazing, good-looking, smart, professional, and the most important thing... She was 'proper' enough for Jennie to bring to her family.

They didn't expect much from her, knowing that she was already twenty seven years old. She was already a leftover woman since everyone preferred younger women to marry, so the only chance for Jennie was the one in her age range or someone older... a lot older.

That woman she dated before from the Rent A Girlfriend app was actually perfect. She was twenty-nine years old, an office worker as well. She wasn't the most good-looking like Lisa or Alex, but she still looked pleasant to the eyes.

Jennie could just give her number and make a deal with her. Then the problem of getting a rental girlfriend to meet her family would be solved easily.

And it was actually simple since the woman said that she would do anything professionally for money.

But Jennie got tongue-tied the moment she wanted to utter her intention of hiring her as her rental girlfriend to meet her parents.

Because she kept imagining Lisa. It had been two days since Lisa hadn't visited her, it made her worried, thinking that Lisa got utterly shocked after Jennie yelled at her over butter and milk.

She wanted to apologize, but Lisa didn't answer her call.

She kept thinking about Lisa until she had nobody but Lisa in her mind. In the end, Jennie abandoned the deal and returned empty-handed from her date once more.

"Don't cry, okay? My parents are really traditional. They might scorn you for being a cry baby," Jennie said.

"Unnie... you.. Do you really want me to be your girlfriend to meet your parents? Am I dreaming right now?"

"What do you mean? Of course, I mean it!"

"Because you reject me before Unnie... I really thought that you'd reject me again. That's why I never bring that up..."

"Aish, because you're too pretty! Don't you realize that your face is too gorgeous for me to bring to my parents? They will think that I've kidnapped you from somewhere!"

Jennie yelled at Lisa, and Lisa had a light chuckle and showed a bright smile. "What are you saying, Jennie Unnie? You're the prettiest woman I've ever see! How could you say that it won't be believable when we are together!"

'Because bringing you to bring my parents would be the last thing for me. It's just me who got desperate because I found nobody in the end... except Lisa, of course.'

"You should be thankful that I still want you!" Jennie yelled.

In the end, the cry baby Monkey finally had a grin on her face, she wanted to hug Jennie, but Jennie dodged and then unlocked her door.
