JENNIE'S POV:

"Lali? Who is Lali?"

Both me and Rosé tilted our head in confusion. Taehyung was an eccentric one, so I pondered whether Rosé really liked this eccentric type of man.

Taehyunh hummed for a moment and then shook his head, "Well, she's just someone that I know. But I finally realize that I really have seen you once!" Taehyung said excitedly. "You're using that new popular app, Rent A Girlfriend, right?"

My jaw dropped as I heard him telling me my secret. I was trying to hide it from many people other than Rose, who would've to expect that her boyfriend actually knew. I glared at Rosé, thinking that she was telling my secret to people.

"What? I never told anyone!" Rosé defended herself. Then both of us glared at Taehyung, demanding an answer.

"How did you know that my sister used that application? Are you a stalker?" Rosé asked.

"Whoa, whoa, that's a baseless accusation!" Taehyung also defended himself. "Didn't I tell you before, Roro? About my new project that suddenly boomed! You should've praised me ah!"

"What new project?" Rosé asked.

"Rent A Girlfriend app project! Dang it, how could you ignore me when I said that I'm the CEO of that app!"

"WHAT?!" Rosé and I had our jaw dropped as we found out about the truth. It was like thunder in a clear sky. I didn't expect to meet the CEO of that cursed application here! Even worse, he was Rose's boyfriend!

I really didn't believe that Rose didn't know about this, or else, how could I be so unlucky to meet Lili? Out of everyone, why did I get entangled with Lili in the first place?

'Wait, isn't that my own fault for hiring the cheapest girlfriend out of convenience and stinginess?'

Somehow, it left a sour taste in my lips, thinking that I wouldn't be able to blame someone else for my problem. I really wanted to blame this man for some reason because that app literally flipped my regular life upside down.

I turned from a regular secretary who would be twenty seven years old soon, living a regular single life. And that app turned me into... well, a regular secretary who would be twenty seven years old soon...

But with LISA!

That woman was seriously a mess. I felt like staying with her made me unable to think calmly since I would always be driven by this stupid emotion that was so foreign for me. It made me both uncomfortable and blissful.

Uncomfortable because I never experienced this stuff, blissful because I actually experienced this stuff.

And that stuff was love, of course.

At least, I wanted to blame someone who made that crazy app! What kind of brain he had to make an app solely catering to single gay women who were so desperate to find a girlfriend, they just rented them instead?

But what made me annoyed the most was the fact that my rental girlfriend acted not like a real rental girlfriend!

She didn't keep things business. My rental girlfriend made this whole business a personal thing!
