JENNIE POV:

"Okay, we're ready to go," I said as I packed few things in my small bag. Although Lisa said that it would only take one or two days, I didn't want to be stranded in another country without any preparation.

Besides, this was the first time for me to go to another country. I've been working for Mr. Marco for seven years without ever using a plane to another country.

Not that I had any guts to fly alone anyway, I always used the train to go to another province, and Mr. Marco barely left his office daily since he had our own survey team that travelled.

Lisa and I sat in the backseat. I saw the new driver that stayed in front of my door yesterday, and I had the urge to ask, "Where is that old uncle driver?"

"Ah ... he said that he wants to retire. He is old, and he wants to have a comfortable life with his wife and six children," Lisa replied. She seemed to be thinking about something for a while and continued, "He said that he has a loving, fierce wife and also six children. Two pair of twins and two more children, so in total, he has two daughters and four sons."

I imagined that old driver with his loving family, probably sitting with his wife, watching a TV show or something, with their children playing around on the floor with their toys.

Two of them might have been attending high school at this point, and the rest are young enough to play together or at least watch a movie with the family.

That was the ideal life I've been dreaming of when I was a kid. I saw those people who could do stuff like that, which was so simple, but too much to ask for my small self.

We had terrible financial difficulty back then, so we didn't have TV, and we didn't have the luxury to play on the floor because there was no floor. The floor was literal dirt.

"Nini, I've been thinking ... about it. Do you think we can have that kind of life for us in the future? I also want to have a loving life with you and our children. You know that I had no family when I was a kid .... "

I nodded. I understand that Lisa, despite all the money she had, never had a great childhood. She was very lonely and lack of human communication.

She had a lot of money but didn't know how to spend it and treasure it.

"I think we can have that kind of life in the future, Lili. I don't mind having six children with you," I said. "With age gaps, of course, we can't have them all with short gaps!
I will die taking care of them!"

I had to admit that Lisa's wealth meant that we wouldn't starve and our child would be well fed.

Back then, I had to starve myself every night or ate with a piece of baked potato or roasted animal my dad, and I hunted in the jungle. Because all the good food, like rice, was given to my little sisters.

Not that I complained about it since they were my sisters. But it would be nice if everyone also got a slice, so nobody would be starving every night.

Lisa kept staring at me and pecked my cheek with her lips. I was dazed for a moment, but Lisa just said, "You won't regret marrying me. Nini."

We arrived at the airport and went straight to the designated road to reach the private jet owned by Ms. Lisa Manoban.

When I arrived, my jaw dropped instantly.
