LISA'S POV:

"This is Unnie's treat for you because you accompanied me for two hours doing grocery shopping."

Lisa was dazed for a moment. She thought she heard it wrong, but what Jennie said was eerily similar to what Batman-J usually said whenever she did a great job doing anything for her.

Batman-J would ask for Lisa's money and then bought her so much stuff with that money and said, "This is J's treat for you, don't worry, J also worked hard to buy you stuff. So you can eat it!"

'Yes! Batman-J!' PeuPeu or young Lisa would be happy to indulge in anything that was given by Batman-J. All she needed to do was to always give Batman-J her pocket money. It was nothing compared to the time she could spend with Batman-J.

"Lili? Lili? Hey!" Jennie shook Lisa's shoulder.

"Y-Yes!"

"Can you reserve a seat for us? I will purchase these cakes first," Jennie said.

"Okay," Lisa nodded and sat at a table, guarding Jennie's shopping trolley while Jennie purchased the cake inside the store for them to eat.

Lisa watched Jennie's back. She had a broad shoulder for a woman, much like Batman-J if Batman-J was a woman.

She also had the same big sister aura on her, which made Lisa very comfortable. It was the same comfort that she had when she was with Batman-J. At first, she was sticking around Batman-J because she beat up the bullies, like a little brother asking for shelter to his big sister.

But that feeling gradually bloomed into a beautiful feeling that she cherished until now. She wanted to find Batman-J again. It was so hard to track Batman-J, though. She never told Lisa her true identity, not even showing her face. Let alone telling her house or whatsoever.

Lisa simply knew her as Batman-J.

Lisa was sad for a moment, thinking of her slow search for her loved one. Batman-J must be waiting for her to come, but she couldn't find her.

Jennie walked to Lisa with two slices of cheesecake. She sat on the opposite seat, facing Lisa and slid the cheesecake on her rental girlfriend. "This one is for you, Lili," Jennie said.

Lisa stared at the cheesecake, then she stared at Jennie for a while.

"Aiya, why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?" Jennie asked.

"Do you love cheesecake, Unnie?" Lisa asked.

"Eh? Of course! Who doesn't love cheesecake ah! One can live without rice for a day, but one cannot control oneself without cheesecake!" Jennie replied excitedly as she dug in first.

Lisa remembered that Batman-J also loved cheese. There was no store sold cheese in the village. People needed to go to the nearest commercial minimarket that was far away. Besides, most villagers were not rich enough to afford the luxury, so they ate whatever they had.

Lisa often brought cheese from her fridge in her grandmother's mansion. Because Batman-J loved cheese so much.

'Ah, even her favourite food is the same. Could it be that Jennie is Batman-J?' Lisa thought. She had hope in her heart that her search was finally over. She stared at Jennie again, took a deep breath, and asked, "Unnie ... do you ... have a childhood crush or sweetheart back then?"

'If she says yes, then I might have a chance! I'm pretty sure that Batman-J also feels the same for me! She even promised to be my bride back then!'

"Eh!?" Jennie choked when she heard that. It was so sudden, "W-Why do you ask?" "I just ... want to know," Lisa said.

"Hm ... "

If Jennie could be honest, she would say yes. When she was around twelve years old, she accompanied her dad to the neighbouring village to transport rice bags and water gallons every day after school. One day, when she was strolling around the neighbour village, she saw a boy getting surrounded by many boys.

Acting like her favourite superhero. Jennie wore a Batman mask she bought for 10 dollars to protect the ten years old boy.

As a girl who was used to work like a man and carry many things for her father, she beat up the bullies easily to save the boy. The boy introduced himself as PeuPeu because his grandma often called him that, and he lived in a big mansion nearby.

PeuPeu was extremely handsome, almost perfect, like a Ken doll. And it charmed Jennie immediately. Honestly, since she was a kid, she was already confused with her preference. When she saw Batman, Robin, and Batgirl in a pawned comic book her dad bought, she was charmed by all of them. She was captivated by Batman's strength and handsomeness, Robin's boyish charm, and Batgirl's girl power!

'Aish, but this is too embarrassing! I don't mind sharing it, but Lili and I are not too close to talk about this private stuff!'

After a moment of consideration, Jennie cleared her throat and replied, "I don't have any childhood crush. Back then, I'm too busy helping my dad to work. What about it, Lili?"

Lisa was disappointed. At some point, she really wished that Jennie could be her Batman-J ...

'Maybe because I missed Batman-J so much that I start projecting her image to another woman ... ' Lisa thought dejectedly.
