"They'll be out in a bit--I left them alone so they could talk some things out that's all." I answered, slightly glancing over my shoulder towards the kitchen were they were still conversing. I shifted my gaze back towards Levi, noticing he'd slightly turned his head to gaze back into the kitchen window as well. Without noticing, a smile lifted on my lips, he still really cares these kids nonetheless.

Time seemed to have lost it's grip as we continued hastily packing, the sun's rays dipping below the tree line as the once blue sky dipped into a warm orange as we finally finished cleaning out the cabin. The job alone was excruciating, even the smallest details taken care of in order to clear our tracks.

"Y/N-heichou!" Sasha called out to me, riding her horse over as she held the reins of my own stallion which trailed a bit behind her own. A puff of air left my mouth as I nodded, reaching down towards the ground before picking up the last satchel that I needed to attach to my horse.

I strung the heavy bag over my right shoulder, feeling the pure weight of it causing distress to my already aching muscles. I winced as I slightly slipped my finger under the leather strap, lifting it up for a moment before placing it in a more comfortable position and making my way towards Sasha. As I reached her side, she quickly handed over the reins of my stallion.

"Thanks Sasha." I expressed, flashing a brief, tired smile as I took the reins into my hands. She quickly the reins fall from her right hand before pressing a salute over her heart.

"It's no problem!" She formally replied, which caught me off guard. I'd really prefer if she'd just replied more casually rather than formally, however, I didn't have the energy, nor time to be wishing or discussing such topics as night was falling and Military Officials could show up at any time now. I cocked my head to the side, signaling that she was good to leave.

She firmly nodded in response before making her way towards everyone else who were awaiting for the last of us.

I made my way towards the side my stallion, slipping my fingers under the satchel and lifting it off my shoulders before tying it onto her side. As I finished, a heavy sigh left my mouth as I slightly patted her body, "Sorry for the heavy load. I promise it'll be worth it in the end." I whispered, trying to soothe her and my own stress.

After, I wasted no more time, hopping onto her before snapping the reins and making my way towards everyone else who was waiting a bit further ahead. They seemed to notice my arrival, all shooting their glances towards me as I made my way towards the front where Hange and Levi were stationed.

"Is that everyone?" I asked, panning my gaze over the small group that awaited our next orders.

"Seems so." Levi answered, slightly glancing back at everyone before drawing his eyes towards the uphill trail that we were going to take.

"Right, then let's take off before anyone happens to spot us." I concluded, also turning my gaze towards the trail. Although we would be going only deeper into the woods and mountains, it was crucial as it was likely the Military Police had already marked our previous trails with traps and guards. We were going to have to take the long way around in order to avoid them.

I snapped my reins, rearing my horse up before taking off. It didn't take long for the others to follow, the sounds of thundering hooves backing me up as we rode off deeper into the mountains.

~~~
Our tight escape only lasted around 10 minutes before we reached a ledge of the mountain which allowed us to peer back down towards the small cabin. From there, I could see small fires that sat upon cloth wrapped torches which further allowed me to count a few visible bodies that surrounded the cabin we'd left no more than a few minutes ago. If we'd been any later it would've been a difficult situation to get out of even though we were in possession of a few rifles.
