Without noticing a small chuckle left my mouth...seems that kid has left a deeper impression on my than I thought. He really does remind me of you...Isabel.
Their energy...the way their eyes light up when you mention the prospect of freedom...to even the way the both scrunch their faces when they didn't like something. It all reminded me of her...not to mention--Armin also faintly reminds me of Farlan--well besides that Armin's timid nature, they both were extremely intelligent and strategists that aided our survival immensely. And finally...Mikasa. Truthfully, if I hadn't known Levi and happened to spot the two together, I would've thought they were siblings. Their muted raven hair, complemented by their greyish--blue eyes were the first two features that always caught my eyes first. On top of that, an immeasurable amount of strength that could be considered almost inhumanly.
They perfectly reminded me of those three.
As I remained caught up in my thoughts, leisurely following Levi's tracks as he led us back towards base, I didn't even notice him stopping--causing me to ram straight into his back. A slightly yelp escaped my mouth as I took a few steps back, my brain quickly registering that I'd let myself daydream and was quickly caught.
"Tch, I thought you said you had enough sleep last night when you woke up this morning." Levi pricked, looking over his shoulder as his hand remained on the knob of the door. I furrowed my brows, placing my left hand on my hips as my eyes slightly narrowed.
"Don't worry I did. I just happened to think about something pleasant." I replied, a reassuring smile resting on my face as I took closed the distance between us again, waiting for him to open the door. However, as soon as I reached his side I was quickly hit with another one of his flicks--causing me to instinctively raise my hand up towards my forehead as my brows quickly furrowed.
"You never change." Levi remarked, a pleasant tone accompanying his stoic voice as he turned around, turning the knob before entering the small home. A slightly puff of air escaped through my nose before I followed, letting my hands drop back down to my sides as I headed in as well.
As we headed into the dining room, we were quickly acquainted by Sasha, Connie and Jean--who seemed to be fooling around rather than cleaning and sorting out the supplies we'd received like Levi had ordered before we left to Trost last night. The scene seemed almost unreal taking the amount of stress and work we'd been put under in the last week only.
Sasha was leaping around the room, dodging both Connie and Jean as they tried their best to chase her down. I examined the situation, and it was fairly easy to see why the three were bickering. The main culprit being Sasha as she ran around the table, her long skirt was slightly pulled upwards as she used it to mimic a basket--carrying the stolen food, or rather, bread condiments which Connie had most likely just brought in no more than a few minutes ago. The three were all running around the room carelessly stomping their shoes on the wooden floor which spewed dirt and dust onto the floor causing a chuckle to rain from my mouth as I glanced to my side towards Levi.
He didn't seemed pleased at all, his attention fully directed towards their dirty shoes that quickly littered the wooden floor with filth.
"Oi brats." He called out, the mere sound of his tone quickly catching the attention of the three soldiers in an instant. His tone even catching Sasha off guard, causing her fingers to slip from her skirt, resulting in the bread to tumble down onto the filthy floor--which really only seemed to make Levi more irritated as his jaw clenched and brows furrowed even further.
"I'm deeply s-sorry, L-Levi heichou, Y/N heichou!" Sasha hastily spewed, throwing her hands up into a salute as she tightly bit her bottom lip--beads of sweat slowly trailing down her face. As they heard the sound of her shuffling, the other two quickly drew their gaze towards Sasha. Becoming aware of their behavior they quickly did the same, hastily tightening up their posture before tightly securing a salute over their hearts.
