Catching the Bait | Part 21

I abruptly awoke to the sound of banging on Levi's door and my eyelids flew open as I jerked up and threw the blankets off me. Levi did the same as he abruptly sat up as well. On cue, Hange barged into the room with a horrid expression on her face as she turned to look a Levi and I on the bed.

"Sonny and Bean were killed! We have to head to the city. Immediately!" Hange screamed out worriedly and my eyes widened in shock as I stood up off the bed and walked over to Hange as she was shaking in her panicked state. I knew she wasn't joking, not when she looked like this. Her hair was messy and there were bags under her eyes that most likely developed after she stayed up to discuss the nature of titans with with Eren last night.

"We'll leave immediately. Hange, wake and tell the others that we will be heading to the city." I ordered and Hange was quick to obey as she nodded and left the room.

"Tch, it's too fucking early for this shit." Levi cursed as he get off of the bed as well. I let out a tired sigh as I ran my hand through my hair. I turned to look outside and the sun was already halfway up in the sky. I really wanted to sleep a bit more, but with the current situation, I didn't really have that option.

I turned towards Levi's bathroom and quickly entered it. It took me no longer than a few minutes to wash up. We needed to leave quickly if we wanted to be there before their bodies evaporated. As I exited the bathroom I saw Levi waiting at the door fully dressed.

"Your turn." I spoke as I nudged my head to the side and closed the door behind me. Levi hummed in response and then shifted past me to enter the bathroom. I then turned to his closet to grab some clothes for the day. There wasn't much, but I just grabbed a regular uniform and threw it on along with a cape.

Levi was quick to wash up too, he exited as soon as I finished dressing.

"Lets go." Levi commented. I nodded, not looking at him as I repositioned my cape a bit. We exited the room and headed out towards the front of the castle. We quickly walked towards the entrance and I took the time to look out the windows at the ground below. Petra, Oluo, Hange, Eld, Gunter...I mentally checked off everyone as I spotted them. Everyone but Hange and Eren were there. It didn't bother me though, they were most likely making their way towards the entrance as well. I tilted my head a bit to see if I could more and spotted the horses stationed out behind the crew.

Good, everything was set then. I turned my gaze towards the descending staircase as the rows of windows disappeared and we headed down the stairs, however as we reached the bottom, we were halted as we came in contact with another soldier.

"Y/N and Levi-heichou!" Molbit called out as he turned a corner and came face-to-face with us.

"Molbit? Were you the one that informed us about the attack?" I asked as Molbit took a step back to give us a bit of room.

"Hai. The others are already down at the front, we were about to leave." Molbit hastily stated and I nodded at his statement.

"Right, I'll let you go on your way." I replied, shifting out of the way so Molbit could seep past Levi and I and continued up the stair case. As he left, Levi and I then quickly headed out towards the front where everyone else was already waiting. Hange and Eren had arrived as well.

Levi and I quickly hopped onto our horses and joined the others as they were already stationed on theirs.

"We're heading to the city. There has been an apparent attack on the Titans we had captured." I explained the current dilemma quickly and the others nodded at my statement. After seeing their understanding nods, I turned to face the front and gave Levi a nod before he reared up his horse and we took off into the woods to the city.
