Battle of Stohess: Titans in the Walls | Part 31

As I opened my eyes and looked back toward their battle, I noticed Annie had encrusted the side of her hands with the crystal like structure and began bringing her hand down upon Eren's head. Eren must have her leg lodged inside of his mouth, and noticing how sloppy her hits had gotten as she carelessly kept hitting Eren with the side of her forearm, she must've been growing a bit desperate to evade what was coming next.

Suddenly, an unfamiliar scream come from their battle, a higher pitched scream that was similar to that of what I heard in the forest during the expedition. Their cries of desperation at the peak of wails and pleads...fear and anxiety climbing its way through her muscles and her mind only seeping escape. It was almost like watching myself as she struggled consistently, her moves and posture getting worse as her mind was clouded with the prospect of escape...however, we never get anywhere, do we?

After many strikes and ear piercing screams, Annie stood up straight as she brought her leg out from Eren's mouth. My eyes widened as I saw her turn away, leaving Eren and heading towards the walls. Wait...What was she doing? Didn't she want to abduct Eren? Then why didn't she...why is she running away? However, I felt a slight change in the atmosphere as an unfamiliar feeling lodged in my throat.

"Heichou--"

"Don't move!" I yelled out, throwing my left arm out to the side as I clutched onto the handle of my blade. At the time, I didn't know why I said that, it was strictly out of instinct. I kept my gaze focused on Eren as I saw his jaw lower a bit, an exhale escaping his mouth as his eyes still glowed green under his messy brown hair. A few moments passed with only silence as Eren stood still and Annie continued getting away. A single question surged in my mind as I felt a hint of anxiety begin to flow into my blood. Did I make the right call?

On cue, I saw Eren break out of the building, his sudden movement causing rocks and smaller debris to launch into the air.

"Move!" I ordered, jumping away just in time as a large rock came cascading onto the spot I was previously standing on. The impact caused a large hole to form within the roof and it broke through every level of the house, crushing everything in it's path. There were still many things that were falling from the sky, however, we successfully moved away and kept up with Eren and Annie.

I watched as Eren beastly made his way, using nothing but his right arm and left leg as he quickly caught up with Annie, launching himself onto her as he coiled his right arm around her neck. They both tumbled forward, falling and knocking over a bridge as they skid across the cobblestoned floor, breaking through many different barracks meant for Garrison soldiers. They were right in front of the wall, as long as Eren could hold her down for a few minutes, we would be able to retrieve her.

"That's-" Hange stated, however was interrupted as Mikasa landed between us.

"Eren!" She called out, taking another small step as a concerned look grew on her face.

"Don't!" Hange yelled out, putting her blade out in front of Mikasa to cease her movement. She turned around, a confused stare confiscading her features as she gazed at Hange.

"We don't know if Eren can recognize you now." She continued, causing Mikasa to turn back around as she stared at the two battling. Eren was sat atop of Annie as she covered her nape in desperation--fear encasing her eyes as she heard Eren's vicious breathing over her head. Eren ha made sure she wasn't getting away, locking her down onto the floor. However, with his body still healing and missing limbs, Annie quickly pushed him back, sitting up straight again as she still kept her hands over her nape.

Eren didn't seem phased as Annie had seemed to lost her focus, her mind clouded with thousands of thoughts and horrible scenarios that would befall on her if she were to be captured alive. Eren quickly brought his right hand over Annie's face, encasing it with his hands as the muscles in his arms tensed and he mercilessly squeezed. Within the next second, a large crack erupted from her body as blood shot out from her face. The sounds made me cringe as her blood coated the floor and smaller structures surrounding them. Suddenly, a loud cry came from Annie as Eren tortured her, the wind violently surged and I quickly covered my ears as and slightly squinted as the particles of dust and dry air scraped across my face.
