I opened the door and walked towards the entrance of the hallway. I quickly made my way towards the kitchen where everyone was already sitting down to eat.

"Y/N! Ya made it just in time! We were just about to start." Isabel announced, motioning for me to sit next to her which I accepted gratefully. I quickly exited the hallway and made my way towards the table where Farlan was also sitting, still polishing the same knife that he was fiddling with earlier. As I sat down, he quickly returned the weapon the leather sheath on his hip before shooting me a smile as our eyes met.

"So Y/N. What happened before we found you? Or rather before you ran into Levi?" He asked as he rested his chin on his hand. Isabel quickly turned her head towards me as well awaiting for my answer.

"Ah..." I paused for a moment. My gaze shifting from Isabel's carefree expression towards Farlan who kept his eyes focused on mine. What a ludicrous question. As if he hadn't put together what happened earlier already, at this point...this carefree question seemed more like the start of an interrogation.

"It's exactly what you saw. I'm unfortunately not as fortunate in the luck department as others and was almost caught by the Military Police. And speaking of bad luck, I just happened to run into Mr. Shorty--who contrary to his size felt like someone who'd at least have a few more inches." I had a frown on my face by the end of that statement and everything went silent for a second. The next thing I heard were two ear piercing laughs break the silence. I sat with my eyes wide open dumbfounded at why they were laughing so hard.

"That's rich Y/N!" Isabel said as she put a hand onto my shoulder. She couldn't help but say a few more words in between laughs and shrieks as she bent over and clutched onto her stomach, her head hovering over the table while doing so. My gaze then shifted Farlan who seemed to completely abandon his interrogation as he was stifling his laughter while facing away from me. However, his laughs filled more with gasps at this point than laughter.

"Um..." I couldn't understand. What was so funny?

"Far-Farlan! You heard it too right?!" Isabel's laughter had now turned into sharp gasps as she tried her best to calm down.

"I know right. Not everyone has the guts to call Levi something like that." Farlan sat back up straight, sounding slightly out of breath as he wiped away small tears which hugged the corners of his eyes.

"Just wait till we tell Big Bro Levi that." Isabel squealed out before patting my shoulders slightly as if she were congratulating me.

"Tell me what?"

All of our gazes shifted over to Levi who came out of the hallway with a cup of tea in his hands. He slowly walked over to the table and pulled out the chair in front of me. He sat weirdly as he pulled his right leg and crossed it over the top part of his left thigh.

"Tch. What were you brats talking about that included me?" He said before taking a sip of tea. I watched as he held his cup in a weird way and lifted it again to his mouth. How....fitting? Is that the right word.

A giggle came from Isabel's mouth as she motioned to Farlan to tell Levi about what they were laughing about earlier.

"Why me? I don't want my face to be caved in." Farlan complained as a conflicted look washed over his features. Which only made me more curious as to why the hell were they so scared of this Shorty?

Isabel harshly shook her head "yes" and repeated the same hand motion towards Farlan, however, he repeatedly shook his head in denial back at her. This continued on for a few more minutes through whispered insults and harmless threats of spilling each other's secrets as they fought amongst themselves. I didn't even notice a lighthearted smile reach my lips as I watched them bicker. It was new to see people so close, not to mention, letting petty insults slide while conversing. However, my attention then shifted towards Levi who remained calm, ignoring the other two as he enjoyed his meal.
