The elegant woman jumped out of the private jet in a hurry and immediately got into a car, shouting to the driver to take her to the wedding reception.
"Darling, don't be so rude. At least give me a welcome little kiss." He giggled, turning the engine on.
"Ran!? You idiot, what if they see you? Where's my driver?" She looked through the rearview.
"I had to kill him. He didn't obey my orders."
Y/n rolled her eyes with a sigh, acknowledging he was a hard man to please. "What are you waiting for? I'm already late. Start the car!"
"Where's my kiss?" He pouted.
"It will depend on how long it will take you to get to the reception."
"I love challenges."
While the older Haitani drove through the city, skipping cars and traffic lights, the young woman stripped off her travel clothes to wear on her party outfit and fixed her makeup and hair.
"Served, my lady." He looked back through the rearview when she had finished painting her red lips. "When did you change your clothes? And why didn't you tell me!"
She grabbed the driver and passenger seats and pushed herself up to Ran's face, kissing his lips and silencing him.
"Mmmh. I'll come back later." He grinned against her mouth before she left with no reply.
Y/n made it to the hostess's desk and followed to her designed table. Everyone was laughing, making fun of Pachin's speech.
A waiter offered her a glass of champagne before she walked to meet the ex-Toman members.
She made it to the place behind their backs and announced her arrival by softly chuckling and making them stop mocking the groom. "Pah is amazing. From everyone, I can't believe he's the first to get married."
Their heads turned to look at her, offended at first but mesmerized with open mouths after noticing it was Y/n.
Hina and Yuzuha laughed while the embarrassed men blushed.
"I don't see a ring around your finger either." The men recovered their coolness with Inupi's comeback.
Touché. She giggled and sipped her champagne. "Because there's no man alive who can meet my standards. It's nice to see you again, guys." Y/n finished with a gentle tone.
Yuzuha stood to hug her in glee while the rest enjoyed the moment. "You're looking damn good, girl."
"I try my best, but look at you! You're really into the fashion life."
"Working with my brother has its privileges. Right, Hakkai?"
Both girls laughed because the young man was zoning out, troubled, and trying to avoid eye contact. Then, something else caught Y/n's attention. Takemichi was weeping, and Hina was comforting him.
There was no doubt that things didn't change much within the group. The young woman could say that she still knows them like the palm of her hand.
"Hey, why it's so noisy over that table?! Today's main guy is me!" Pah shouted from afar.
"I'll calm him down." Y/n offered, leaving the glass on the table. Before she could walk off, a hand grabbed her arm.
"I need a word." Draken's eyes were insisting.
"Excuse me?" She didn't like the way he tried to approach her and released herself. "Maybe later."
The young woman approached the newlyweds' table, introduced herself to the lucky lady, and chatted for a while. After so many years, Pahchin had been capable of making the long-lost girl appear before her old friends.
