"I'll only be gone a week, Luke." I tell Luke. I'm standing at the entrance to check in. Luke insisted in taking me to the airport, saving Aunt Bess the trouble. She was really upset, but couldn't keep the grin off her face when she Luke's and my hands intertwined.

I climbed over the wall before Luke arrived to tell Michael I was going and he told me to make sure I come back in one piece. Calum was with a girl so I couldn't say goodbye to him, it made me happy to think that was probably the girl he was worried over.

"I know. I'll miss you though." He smiles shyly. I can't believe I found this boy annoying a few months ago, now I'm in love with him.

"I'll text you when I arrive in England." I tell him when I hear my aeroplane number being called.

"Where are you going to be staying?" He quickly asks.

"My mums friends." I answer before being dragged with the crowds away from Luke into the terminal.

"Name?" The business like lady asks.

"Faith Smith." I tell her, handing her my passport. She stamps it and hands it back.

"Enjoy your flight." She smiles tightly, I smile back.

The time this happened before I rolled my eyes, how time has changed. As much as I try not to, I reflect on how much I have changed. I'm not sure why I changed, I hope it wasn't for Luke because I always told myself I would never change for boy. I feel happier than I did before, not before Luke, but before Australia. That sounds bad considering neither of my parents are here, but when I discovered my mother had died I had no one and was filled with hatred, but when I found out my father died I had the right support that I didn't feel as sad as I could have felt. Of course I did feel sad.

"Why are you wearing black?" A little girl in the seat in front of me asks. I take in her missing front teeth and little pig tails. She's cute.

"It's my favourite colour." I tell her, smiling with no teeth at her, she grins at me.

"Pinks my favourite colour!" She exclaims, then points to her outfit, which is all pink.

"Are you alone?" She frowns, looking at the empty seat next to me, I nod, trying not to look too sad.

"It's okay, I'll be your friend. I'm Megan." She tells me, I start to introduce myself when her mother turns to her.

"Megan! Turn around and sit down, otherwise the plane will crash." Her mother exclaims. She sounds stressed but the way she spoke of the plane crash angered me. If I had kids I would never treat them like that, threaten them with death, I mean.

For the remainder of the flight I listened to music and tried to put off the thought of attending my parents funeral.
