"Darling, could you put away the groceries for me, please?"
Dahyun and her mom just came back from shopping. Her legs and feet are sore all over because they walked in a loop around the stores multiple times, since her mom couldn't find the things she was looking for.
"But I'm so tired, mom!" she complains. All she wants to do currently is to just drop herself onto her bed and take a sweet nap.
"Just put them away and I won't ask you to do anything else today, okay?"
Dahyun uses the last of her energy to quickly put the stuff away while her parents prepare dinner together. She has been staying at her parents house for a few weeks now, since they're always missing her and telling her to come visit. As much as Dahyun loves them, she hesitated at first. She doesn't want her parents to ask unnecessary and weird questions like they always do. But after the members told her that she shouldn't upset her parents, she gave in.
"All done! Call me when dinner is ready, please!" Dahyun says before rushing upstairs.
She kicks her bedroom door open, throws herself onto her bed, immediately grabbing her phone out of her back pocket. With a constant smile on her lips and her legs swinging up and down, she goes to her contacts and calls her girlfriend.
"Dahyuni!" Momo is so loud that Dahyun's phone's speaker makes a crackling sound, but Dahyun finds it absolutely adorable.
"Darling! What are you doing? I missed you!" Dahyun says just as loudly.
They haven't been talking for a few days, since Momo's schedule has been tough lately. She goes to practice, then to the apartment, then to the gym. By the time she's back at the apartment again, it's always already night time, so she sleeps. They text each other here and there, but it's not enough to satisfy them.
"I was actually about to call you because I finished my schedule early today and I have the rest of the day to myself!" Momo says.
She would rather be spending her free time with Dahyun by her side instead of on the other side of the phone, but she's grateful for this too.
"Gosh, I miss you too, so much. How about you? Having fun with your parents?"
"Yeah, totally. I had fun while walking around the store with my mom for two and a half hours. So exciting!" Dahyun says sarcastically. "Ah, I'm so tired. I would rather be in your arms right now, trust me."
Momo can't help but laugh at the other girl's struggles. "Hey, don't say that! I'm sure your mom felt happy while shopping with you. It probably reminded her of the old days with you!"
"Yeah, I guess you're right—"
"Dahyun! Dinner is ready!" Dahyun's mom calls out from the kitchen.
Dahyun regrets asking her parents to call her downstairs for dinner because she wants to talk with Momo more, but it is what it is.
"Momo, I have to go. I'll call you later, okay? Bye, I love you!" Dahyun says before planting a loud kiss on the speaker, making Momo laugh.
"Alright, I'll be waiting," Momo replies, returning the kiss before ending the call.
It doesn't last long until the family is done with eating their food. They clean up the table together before getting comfortable on the couch. Since Christmas is nearing, they decide to watch a suiting movie. Many snacks are set up on the table, which makes Dahyun happy. Not only the snacks, but also the atmosphere makes her feel happy. For the first time in ages, she feels like a kid again. Filling up the table with snacks and watching a movie comfortably under the warm, soft blankets is something they used to do every week when she was younger.
