A gust of wind passes alongside the quiet beach as two figures make their way through the darkness. The moonlight is the only thing illuminating their path as the crash of the waves grow louder.

Momo can feel her teeth chattering and she zips up her hoodie to protect herself from the cold. As her hand falls limp to her side, a set of fingers intertwine with hers. She looks down at the familiar small hand and smiles softly at its owner.

Dahyun is happily telling Momo about a new makeup trick she learnt, but Momo seems to be paying no attention. All she can focus on is Dahyun herself, not her words. Momo feels mesmerized as she stares at the girl who is beside her, walking hand in hand along the sand of Wangsang beach.

Momo's eyes trace up and down Dahyun's body, looking at each and every individual curve even above her clothes. Dahyun is wearing baggy and fluffy white sweatpants with cartoons plastered across, a cropped white shirt, a baggy pink zip-up, and light pink crocs. Momo has the exact same things on, only the color being blue instead of pink.

The girls match in everything so it is no surprise that they're also wearing matching pajamas. Yet Momo feels like Dahyun pulls off the look better and that makes a set of tingles run through her stomach. She tells herself that it is mere jealousy, but she knows better.

Momo moves on from Dahyun's clothes to her face, studying each and every little detail. She stares at Dahyun's eyes, and even though they are small, they hold a feeling of warmth. Her eyes move down by themselves to trace Dahyun's nose, then towards the slight pink on her cheeks, back to her eyes, and finally settling on her lips.

Dahyun has long since taken off her makeup, but she still looks like a model to Momo. Especially the way her entire pale face is shining under the even paler moonlight. Dahyun looks so kissable to Momo and she has to stop herself from leaving an innocent little kiss on her cheek.

A dark blush settles on Momo's cheeks and she holds back a sigh, trying to shake the thoughts of her head. Dahyun is so effortlessly beautiful in Momo's eyes and it pains Momo to know that she will never get to experience her friend's beauty as nothing more than just a friend.

Dahyun isn't homophobic of any sort, none of the members are, but Momo feels that if she tells Dahyun about how she really feels, Dahyun might get disgusted. Momo can only picture the awkward look on Dahyun's face and how she would probably try finding a way to turn Momo down without hurting her.

A whirlwind of thoughts emerge, all blaming Momo for falling for her friend. She tries to block them out as she listens to Dahyun talking, but they keep overpowering her. Momo can feel the stinging in her nose as tears start to form and she bows her head a little to hide her face.

"Unnie? Are you okay?"

Dahyun's voice pulls Momo out of her trance and she shoots herself up, plastering a strained smile on her face. "Huh? I'm good! What were you saying?"

Momo can tell by the look that Dahyun gives her that she doesn't believe her, but Dahyun still continues talking.

The thoughts never leave as the sky gets darker and they're walking further on the sand. The moon truly lights a beautiful glow on Dahyun and Momo is more than grateful that the darkness is hiding her pink cheeks. Normally she finds it scary to not be able to see anything, but this time, she clearly has something to look at.

Suddenly, Dahyun starts running, her hand still in Momo's, towards a more secluded part of the beach. Momo stumbles behind her, but a laughter arises from deep inside of her. Her overthinking comes to an end as they run across the soft, white sand.

Neither girl enjoys running, especially not when they aren't in running equipment, but they still carry on until they have to collapse onto the sand. Momo draws in long breaths as she calms down her breathing, her eyes captured in the stars above. From beside, she can hear Dahyun panting too and she scoots herself closer to the girl.
