Monday
Momo is paying more attention to Dahyun than the movie playing on the screen. Elbow on the armrest of the couch, jaw resting on the back of her hand, she can't stop watching Dahyun's every reaction.

Unlike Momo, Dahyun is completely engrossed in what is happening on the screen. Momo likes watching the way Dahyun's eyes light up at exciting parts, the way she covers her mouth while laughing at funny parts, the way her eyebrows furrow in concentration during serious parts, and the way she bites her lip during tense parts. There is one thing that Momo isn't enjoying, though.

I wish it was me she is looking at. Momo feels a little silly to admit it, but it is the thought she has while smiling ruefully at the TV. I'm competing with the TV for Dahyun's attention and I'm the one losing.

Of course, Momo is delighted that Dahyun is enjoying the movie. It was Momo's idea, after all, to get together for a movie night, but perhaps it is Momo's fault for not having the foresight to realize that maybe a movie night isn't the best way to leave room for conversation. That is not to say she has never talked during a movie before, but she knows that it would be rude to try to start up a conversation with Dahyun, especially since the girl is currently so invested in the movie. And it is Momo's choice of movie too, so trying to talk in the middle of it would be dumb, Momo thinks.

And yet, Momo continues to watch Dahyun out of the corner of her eye, a small, sad smile slowly spreading across her face. She shakes her head, both at Dahyun and herself and chuckles quietly in amusement. She never notices, does she?

Dahyun certainly isn't stupid, far from it. But she can be rather naive and oblivious. Momo's smile becomes a little happier when Dahyun's laughter lights up the room again. Moments like these always make Momo feel so protective of the other girl, it is a wonderful feeling for her. She makes a mental note to choose an activity better suited for conversation the next time they hang out.

Tuesday
Remembering how Dahyun enjoys foods just as much as her, Momo finally decides that she wants them to try cooking something together. Although, the girls all know that the kitchen might not be the best place for Dahyun to be in.

"I know it's not the most exciting way to spend the afternoon," Momo admits with a sheepish smile.

"No, I think it sounds like an adventure!" Dahyun smiles and clasps her hands together excitedly.

I don't think you need to take it that far... Momo's sheepish smile grows and she feels a blush creep across her cheeks. Dahyun is just too adorable and eager.

They spend the next pleasant hour making homemade noodles together. As always, Dahyun is determined to do her very best even though they are only cooking for fun. And as always, Momo is transfixed.

Dahyun is covered in flour and buried up to her wrists in dough. Her eyes are fierce and focused as she kneads. She wants to make the dough as even and uniform as humanly possible. It might just be the most precious view Momo has ever seen and she finds herself wishing she had a camera to capture it all.

A moment later, Dahyun calls out to Momo excitedly. "Unnie, look! Isn't it lovely?"

Momo looks up from her clump of dough to see that Dahyun has molded hers into a heart.

"Just like Valentine's Day!" Dahyun laughs as she holds out her little creation proudly.

"Aw, Dahyuni!" Momo smiles.

Inside, Momo feels her heart flutter, but she manages not to flee the room to get herself together just yet. Although, the mere memory is enough to fluster Momo all over again. To receive heart-shaped chocolates from Dahyun and be told that they represent her feelings for Momo. It was only slightly dampened when Dahyun said that the gift was because she knows Momo loves lovely things and one of her favorite lovely things are hearts. In other words, it wasn't a confession of love as Momo first assumed.
