Fifty-two

Nang makarating si Krislene sa Safford Hospital, lakad-takbo ang ginawa nya hanggang sa makarating sya sa Nurse Station.

Immediately, she asked the attending nurse. "Excuse me, could you tell me which room Dylan Kingsley is?"

"For a while Ma'am."

She nodded then took a deep calm breath as she waited patiently for the nurse to locate Dylan Kingsley's room even if she's literally sweating bullets.

"Room 236, 2nd floor Ma'am."

"Thanks!" At wala na syang inaksayang oras at lakad-takbo nanaman ang kanyang ginawa maski sa pag-akyat ng hagdan. She can't wait for the elevator to arrive at the floor where she was. She needs to see Dylan immediately because she's really worried of him.

And when she arrived at his room, she noticed the door slightly opened. She halted from going inside when she heard voices coming from the inside of the room.

"...sorry po talaga Sir kung biglang tumakbo ang anak ko. Hindi ko po sya nabantayang maigi. Pasensya na po talaga. Nagpapasalamat din po ako dahil iniligtas nyo sya."

Then she heard Dylan's spoke, "It's really okay. You don't have to worry about it. But still, have your son checked just to be sure."

"He's right." It was Owen who spoke this time. "Your son may not be hurt physically, but sometimes it can trigger a person's psychological responses. So it's best if we'll have your son checked."

"Sige po Doc Safford."

"Nurse Cyn, please accompany him."

"Yes Doc."

"Salamat po Doc. Safford. Salamat din po Sir Kingsley. Maraming salamat po talaga."

"No worries."

Then she saw the man and the Nurse exiting from the room. She smiled when the Nurse saw her and she's thankful that the Nurse just left the door slightly opened.

"You fucker. You don't need to get me a room! I'll be going home in a few." Narinig nyang sinabi ni Dylan.

"And so? It's not really a problem."

If she's not mistaken, it's Marco's voice. Looks like he got really worried of his friend.

"Pabayaan mo sya sa gusto nya." Rinig naman nyang sabi ni Owen. "Bida-bida eh. Flex daw nya pera nya."

"Fuck you!"

Napailing nalang sya kapagkuwan nang marinig nya na parang baliw na tumatawa si Owen dahil sa pang-aasar nito. Ibang-iba sa Doctor Owen Safford na nagsalita kanina itong Owen na naiwan sa mga kaibigan nila. Yung kanina sobrang professional ang dating. Itong kausap nila Dylan at Marco, gago version na ulit.

"But are you really okay though?" Marco asked. "You can stay here for the night so you could rest."

"Nah! I'm okay. Besides I want to see my Queen so I'll feel better."

Krislene bit her lower lip to contain her tears. Kahit na nasaktan nya ito, sya pa rin ang iniisip nito. And right now, she really has the urge to go inside and hug him.

And that's what she did.

Without notice, she went inside of the room surprising the three. But she couldn't care less and just walked towards Dylan, carefully cupped his face as he checked his covered wound on his forehead.

"L-Lene."

"Are you okay? How do you feel?"

"I-I'm okay. Don't worry—"

"Are you sure? Are you not dizzy?"

"Yes Lene—"

"I'm sorry for leaving earlier. I'm really sorry. If not for me, you wouldn't be here at the hospital—"
