"Earth to Krislene!"

Krislene blinked several times upon realizing she's spacing out for quite some time. Then she looked at her childhood friend—Vincien's younger Sister—Summer. "Ha? Sorry. May iniisip lang."

"Ano bang iniisip mo?"

Krislene sighed, "As usual, si Ate K."

Iyon lang ang sagot nya at agad din naman itong naintindihan ni Summer. "Honestly, matagal ko nang napapansin. Kuya and Kristene are not in good terms. From the moment na nagkaroon ng girlfriend si Kuya, nagkalamat ang friendship nila ni Kristene."

She scoffed, "Kuya mo naman kasi. Manhid."

"Manhid? Wait. Am I right with what I'm thinking?" Summer asked curiously that caught her interest. Looks like they have the same thoughts about what's going on between Vincien and her Sister, Kristene.

"What are you thinking?" She asked back to confirm if they really have the same thoughts.

"Na may feelings si Kristene kay Kuya V?"

Mangha syang tumingin kay Summer at marahang pumalakpak, "Mabuti ka pa, aware sa nararamdaman ng kapatid ko para sa Kuya mo. Eh yung Kuya mo, manhid!"

"Manhid? But I know..." Then Summer mumbled something that she didn't clearly heard that once again caught her attention. Of course, she knew it's still about Vincien and her Sister. Kaya hindi nya tatantanan si Summer hangga't hindi nito sinasabi sa kanya kung ano ang iniisip nito.

"You know what?"

"H-ha? Wala Krislene."

"Huwag ako Summer! What did you mumbled?" Pangungulit nya sa kaibigan. Ayaw pa kasi nito sabihin sa kanya. She's getting impatient already.

"Wala nga Krislene. Wala 'yon."

"Ay naku Tag-araw! Pag hindi mo talaga sinabi friendship over talaga tayo!" She said in a serious tone. Syempre biro lang yung friendship over. Gusto lang nya talaga malaman kung ano ang ibinulong nito. And she knew that Summer can't resist her.

Then Summer sighed in surrender, "Okay fine! Ito na nga! Sasabihin ko na nga eh!"

At doon sinabi ni Summer sa kanya ang totoo tungkol sa kapatid nito na si Vincien. And from what she found out, kung kanina ay naiinis sya, mas dumoble pa ang nararamdaman nyang inis dito.

"You know what Summer, matalino talaga si Kuya V eh. But sorry to say this, I'm just being frank and true to myself but... ang tanga ng moves nya, seriously! Nakakainis."

Summer leaned her back on the couch as she nodded, agreeing to what she said. "I know. Maski naman ako naiinis sa kanya kasi mali yung desisyon nya. Parehas tuloy silang nahihirapan ni Kristene."

"Oo! Bobo talaga." Dissapointment is written all over her face and she can't hide it well. Harsh na kung harsh but that's what she feels right now.

Saglit na katahimikan ang namayani sa kanila habang pinagkakatitigan nya si Summer. This friend of her, isa rin itong may pinagdadaanan na mabigat. Summer may be smiling often but behind those smiles, is the sad and heartbreaking truth. "Anyway, how about you? Are you okay?"

Summer, who's quite a bit surprised, looked at her with a confused face, "Bakit naman napunta sa akin ang usapan?"

"Kasi—" Napatigil sya sa pagsasalita nang makita nya ang kapatid nya. And based from what her Sister is wearing, it looks like she'll be going somewhere. "Hey Ate K!"

Kristene smiled at them. "Yow Sis!"

Right now, while her Sister is smiling at them, she also knew that behind those smiles, her Sister is really hurting. Well, it's clearly visible because her eyes are swollen. She's really sure that her Sister cried the whole night again.
