Special Chapter 2 - Destiny

"One dark mocha frappe and blueberry cheesecake for King."

Busy si Dylan sa tinatapos nyang portfolio nang ganoon nalang ang pagkalukot ng kanyang mukha nang marinig nya kung paano sya tawagin para kunin ang order nya. He used to correct them but they won't listen. They won't do what he wanted them to call him.

Bukod kasi sa suki na sya sa coffee shop, ang pasimuno nito ay walang iba kundi ang kaibigan nyang si Vincien. Ito ang nag-uutos sa mga employees na tawagin sya sa pangalan na iyon.

So in the end, he just let them do what they want them to call him.

That name gives a bittersweet memories to him. Pero wala naman na syang magagawa. That's his nickname since he was a child. So those people who really know him well calls him King.

Dylan sighed before he stood up to get his order and immediately went back to his table to continue doing their portfolio. He's waiting for Vincien to come since they are partners.

He smiled bitterly upon remembering when Vincien told him the reason why he'll be late. Makikipagkita kasi ito kay Kristene, ang kababata nyang nakalimutan sya maski lahat ng pangako nila sa isa't-isa. And what hurts the most? She's Vincien's love interest for a long time during those years he was not around.

So ano pang laban nya? Wala na.

Here he is, he did his best to fulfil his promises but his once childhood sweetheart forgot everything about him. And what can he do? Nothing but just be happy for the both of them. If Kristene loves Vincien too, then he won't hinder that one.

And because he doesn't want to remember his bittersweet past again, he continued doing his portfolio while eating his favorite blueberry cheesecake then sipping from his frappe from time to time.

But then something caught his interest. A voice of a woman just behind him.

"Ayoko. Sinamahan lang naman kita dito para bumili ng gusto mo. You know that I'm not into frappe. I want milktea."

"Sige wait I'll pre-order online a milktea for you. What flavor it is again? Straw—"

"—berry cheesecake milktea, 75% sugar, less ice, add-ons would be nata de coco."

"Is that all?"

"Syempre meron pa! Punta tayong Clermont Convenience Store mamaya. Bibili ako ng Meiji Apollo Strawberry Chocolate."

And that caught Dylan's attention. That Meiji Apollo Strawberry Chocolate. Honestly, kanina pa nya pinapakinggan ang pag-uusap ng dalawang babae sa likod nya. And he can't help but to smile upon hearing the woman's voice who sounded so hyper.

"My gosh! Lots of sweet!"

Then he heard the woman chuckled. And he swear, that laugh is so soothing to his ears.

"Comfort food ko 'yon eh. Isa pa, favorite ko yung strawberry chocolate. I'm really craving for it."

"So she also likes strawberry chocolate." He mumbled to himself. Just like his childhood sweetheart one decade ago. She loves the same kind of sweets, that Meiji Apollo Strawberry Chocolate.

He just continued sipping from his frappe while eating his blueberry cheesecake. Hindi na rin nya maituloy gawin ang portfolio nya dahil hindi rin naman sya makapag-focus dito. Nakikinig kasi sya sa usapan ng dalawang babae sa likod nya.

It really caught his attention and interest indeed.

"Lumipat ka na kasi sa Montfort!" Rinig nyang sabi ng kasama nitong babae.

"I'm planning but still not sure."

"Bakit naman eh nando'n ang Ate mo. Doon din grumaduate ang pinsan mo. Even Kuya is there!"
