Thirty-seven

Dylan is well-known as a very productive and efficient Boss in his own company—Kingsley Global. He takes his job seriously but today seemed a lot different. He's slacking off in his office so he opted to just go and work at Le Mortejo so he could divert his time and attention but still, he spent most of his time like he's dead to the world. He keeps on sighing everytime he remembers how much he misses his Queen. It's just been two weeks since Krislene left for her on the job training at Barcelona, Spain. But he misses her so much already to the point that he wanted to go and be with her in an instant. Pero naaalala nya ang ibinilin nito sa kanya. He should always be here for Kristene at ayaw naman nyang biguin si Krislene.

They always keep in touch, as in walang araw na hindi sila nag-uusap. Call him clingy or what but that's how much he misses his beloved Queen. Although there's still something that's bothering him. He can really see something from Krislene's eyes whenever they talk. He knows he's not assuming things but there's really something even with the tone of her voice. Hindi lang sya talaga makapag-conclude.

And again he sighed.

"Fuck Dylan! Will you stop fucking sighing already? You're fucking annoying!" Grumpy na sabi ng kanyang Boss na si Marco. But he doesn't give a damn. He sighed once again.

"Out Dylan! Out! Or I'll throw this fucking glass on you!"

Dylan looked at Marco flatly, "Yes Boss."

He's not in the mood to mess up with Marco right now. Ganitong nangingibabaw ang pagkamiss nya kay Krislene. So he stood up and went outside of the office and went straight to the bar counter where Alexander is.

"What's with the look Boss Dylan?" Alexander asked and he just sighed before sitting on the high stool.

"I just missed her." He mumbled to himself but enough for Alexander to hear.

"Edi puntahan mo kung miss mo."

He sighed, for the nth time. "I already planned it out. But you know, hindi naman ako pwedeng magtagal doon kapag binisita ko sya. She's busy with her OJT. Then she wants me to be here for her Sister."

Alexander handed him a glass of scotch. "Ano ba si Rae bata?"

"It's not that." He said before he drank the scotch, bottoms up. "Nag-aalala lang si Krislene sa kapatid nya. We all know how much Krislene loves her Sister. Besides, Rae needs us."

"Okay. Given that's the main reason. Then you said Rae needs us. Heard me? 'Us'. It doesn't mean just you. Hindi mo ba naisip na nandito naman kaming mga kaibigan ni Rae? Lalo na si Maru at Safford. Even our high and mighty boss, mukha lang 'yan walang pakielam pero alam mo kung gaano magpahalaga si Bossing sa mga kaibigan ng kaibigan nya. Do you get what I'm saying? Marami kaming pwedeng magpasaya kay Rae."

Dylan nodded. "Pero humingi kasi si Krislene ng pabor—"

"Wait up Bud. Let me ask you." Alexander said before pouring scotch on his glass then leaned his back on the countertop. "May pagkakataon na bang may pabor syang hinihingi sayo na hindi mo pinagbigyan?"

Dylan played with his glass while thinking of it before he shooked his head. "Not that I know of. As far as I know, I always do what she wants me to do because I don't want to mess up again."

"Dylan my Boss, may sarili kang isip. Hindi mo ba naisip man lang na pwedeng itinatago ni Krislene kung ano ang tunay nyang nararamdaman sa likod ng mga salitang binibitawan nya? O di kaya nagpaparamdam sya sayo, pero hindi mo lang ma-gets?"

At doon napaisip si Dylan sa sinabi ni Alexander. Sa totoo lang, tuwing nakakausap nya si Krislene para itong may gusto sabihin sa kanya pero hindi naman nya makuhang magtanong kung ano iyon. Instead he's just waiting for her to open up to him or tell him what she wanted to say. Just like earlier, he noticed it once again when he talked to her before she start her OJT.
