Twenty-six

Krislene and Dylan just spent the remaining weeks together before they all go back to the Philippines. They usually spent their time at Krislene's house, sometimes hanging out with Serein, and also with Krislene's parents. Though most of the time, Krislene's parents are not around since they're busy with work, same with Vaughn.

The other day, they went back to the beach since Krislene wanted to go to her happy place before going back to the Philippines. Magpapasukan na kasi kaya't matatagalan daw itong bumalik muli sa paborito nitong lugar. Of course, Dylan can't say no to his Queen. Wherever she wanted to go, Dylan will always be with her.

And now, Dylan is on his way to Krislene's house when he received a call. When he looked at it, it was his best friend, Kristene, who's calling. He answered the call and put it on loudspeaker.

"Yes Rae?"

"Hey Dylan! How are you?"

Dylan chuckled. "I'm good."

"Sorry, hindi kita masyadong matawagan, alam mo naman." Sabi ni Kristene sa kanya na agad naman nyang naintindihan.

"It's okay Rae."

"Anyway, V told me to call you and he's inviting you tomorrow. Let's eat together he said. Gusto makipagkita sayo bago tayo umuwi ng Pilipinas."

Hindi sya nakasagot agad kay Kristene dahil ang unang pumasok sa isip nya ay si Krislene at kung ano ang mararamdaman nito. Well, since he decided to court Krislene, he always made sure to think and consider her feelings first because as what he wanted from the very beginning, he doesn't want to hurt Krislene.

"Dylan?" Kristene called his attention bringing him back from his reverie.

"Ah yes, I'll get back to you later Rae is it okay?"

"Sure! No problem—" Napatigil sa pagsasalita si Kristene nang marinig nya ang boses ni Vincien sa kabilang linya.

"Mi Amor, let's go?"

"Sure Mi Rey." Then Kristene once again spoke to him, "I'll hang up now. Aalis pa kami ni V."

"Alright. Ingat kayo. I'll message you later. Bye!"

"Bye!"

And when the call ended, he's thinking on how he would tell it to Krislene. Come to think of it, hindi pa nila napag-uusapan ang mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa kapatid nito at sa feelings nya dito noon. He's somehow afraid that he might hurt Krislene's feelings but he needs to talk to her. Best friend nya si Kristene eh. The least he could do is to explain it to her so there won't be any misunderstanding between them.

When he arrived at Krislene's house, like the usual, her parents are not around. Same with Krislene's best friend, Serein, and her cousin, Vaughn. At pagkapasok na pagkapasok nya sa bahay nito, agad inilahad ni Krislene ang kamay nito sa harap nya tulad ng nakagawian nito parati tuwing dumadating sya.

He chuckled while pulling out a box of strawberry chocolate from his pocket and handed it over to Krislene.

Grinning from ear to ear, Krislene wrapped her hands around his neck, tiptoed, and gave a long peck of kiss on his lips.

"Thank you!" She said.

Hindi naman nagbago ang kundisyon nila pagdating sa strawberry chocolate. It's still one box of strawberry chocolate, one kiss.

With that, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her closer and claimed her lips once again as they kissed each other senseless. And when he pulled away, that's the only time he answered, "You're welcome my Queen."

Iginiya sya ni Krislene na maupo sa couch at akmang uupo ito sa tabi nya ay agad nya itong iginiya na maupo sa kandungan nya.

Krislene sat sideways on his lap while eating her strawberry chocolate heartily. And Dylan can't help but to smile since his Queen really looks like an adorable child now. She has a sweet smile on her face that always captivates him. Kaya nga ayaw nya itong nakikitang malungkot. But he needs to talk to her so that they would understand each other. He doesn't want to keep things from her especially about Kristene.
