Stage 1

My Mom has always had that fondness when it comes to Greek mythologies. I often remember when I was younger, my Mom telling me stories to sleep and it was all about the stories of the Gods and Goddesses of Greece.

And I never complained even once.

I love knowing their stories. Specially even though they are already labeled as the most powerful ones in this world, they are still bearing their imperfections, unlike the God that we mostly know as the most perfect and powerful one yet remained unseen even amid the chaos.

Gods and Goddesses. Their hypocrisy brought chaos into this world. Their imperfections and sinful acts cause the world to lose its balance. Yet remained praised by their worshippers.

As I go deep into their stories, I then realized why our names were so unusual. It was something that I always look forward to.

Aieszeus Marcelleus, or Zeus as we usually call him. Who bears the name of the God among Gods, the God of thunder. Athanasios Ryzen, Athanasios means 'immortal' in Greek. Ashius Herakles, Heracles the divine hero of Greek mythology. Son of Zeus and Alcmene. And lastly, Fahari Praxidike. Pronounced as Praksidiki. Praxidike, the Goddess of vengeance, punishment, and justice.

And him who I used to admire but now despises, the one who bears the name of the God of the west wind...

Ngumiti ako at saka umiling. "Dumi lang naman 'yan, ate. Madaling hugasan."

Umiling akong muli. "Nakakatamad naman ng gano'n lang, ate!"

"Mangingitim ka!"

I pouted. "Maitim na talaga ako, ate!" tawa ko.

"Morena, Far. Batang 'to!"

I chuckled as I continued pulling out some unwanted grass.

I smiled widely as I accepted the buko she is holding. "Salamat, ate!"

It's summer again. The way the wind blew brought the smell of the summer breeze yet some fog was still being formed in our place.

The rural place brings the real nature of the Philippines and that is what lacking in Manila.

Though, there are some tall buildings here in Tagaytay pero sa may Olivarez pa 'yon, sa may bayan at medyo malayo 'yon sa hacienda namin. And I am not really fond of it that is why I am satisfied with staying here in our hacienda.
