"A quirk assessment test?"

I stood hunched over, letting my soul leave my body and my waterfall tears flow.

Midoriya also seemed on edge.

The green-haired girl who told me her name was Tsuyu patted me gently on the back. An obvious sweatdrop fell from her head.

" There there (L/N), It's okay! Everyone gets nervous about their quirks sometimes! Especially if we can't control it very well. Ribbit," she reassured.

It only made me feel worse, I sighed. Dead black spot for where my eyes were looking at her, "No Tsuyu...
I don't think you'd understand..."

I gulped, now becoming more serious as I stood to meet her.

She was very beautiful, her green hair tied back to reveal her big eyes.

"I-"

"If you're going to be a pro hero," Aizawa began, "you don't have time for such leisurely events."

The students gasped slightly, although you didn't know what he was answering to. You weren't paying attention then.

"U.A's selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are."

He has to know! He knows I can't participate!... Right?

If everyone found out... I-
I know they would hate me. More than before. I have to stick with my story. They can't know.

"Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your quirks."

"The country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their quirks. It's not rational. Well, the ministry of education is procrastinating. " he stretched out.

I gulped hard. Aizawa turned to Bakugo, Bakugo's eyes keen and ready.

"Bakugo, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?"

He looked up at the teacher, letting out only a sound to respond. I watched him steadily

"-What was your best result for the softball throw?"

Sixty-Seven meters... I knew. Of course, I smiled lightly either to me or maybe even Katsuki, you wouldn't stop bragging about It, Katsuki...

"-Try doing it with your quirk."

The word rung into my ears making my stomach churn: Quirk

Shortly after Bakugo was on the pitch. Stretching his arms, ready to receive the ball.

My heart quickened with anticipation. Katsuki's quirk was always frightening, but at the same time, I had a fascination with it.

His face already glistening in a light sweat, it was hot today understandably. His arms stretched, I could hear the power in the just by clutching his hand. His eyes meet yours, their piercing intensity cutting you to slices. They remained unmoving.

Ba bump

What the?

I felt... excited. Almost want to see more of Katsuki. His arms, his chest, his hair, his quirk, his stupid mean face. What was this? I watched Katsuki feeling hot and sweaty but not from the outside heat that already licked at my skin. This was different.
Katsuki excited me.

Stop it stop it stop it! Katsuki has caused you nothing but pain your whole life! So why? Why (Y/N)? Why am I feeling this way?

You pushed these thoughts to the back of your head, trying to just focus on the batting ball he clutched in his hands. You licked your lips as the dry heat chapped them, or maybe it was for something else. Either way, you stiffened up straight and watch Bakugo's every move. His eyes moved away, almost nervously.

I'll add a blast to the pitch. Bakugo thought, now readying his aim.

To show that punk, (L/N) and Midoriya, whose boss here.

In a blazing heat of combustion, the ball went flying, flames and crackling explosions danced the air. Sweeping carelessly against his unaffected face.

You're breathing because shallow, your legs wobbled as they threatened to buckle. All the memories of Bakugo flooded your head, the bad and the not-so-terrible ones.

You kept up straight but didn't even bother trying to seem unaffected by his power. He was terrifying.

The ball blasted through the sky leaving three broken sound barriers as it entered the deepest space.

"Know your own maximum first," Aizawa said carelessly.

"Hey, are you okay, (L/N)?" Mina asked with concern.

You snapped from your gaze, now fixing your posture again, "Huh?? Yeah! Sorry I was a little mind blown by Bakugo's Power..."

"Right? He's really powerful!" Mina gasped.

"Don't tell him that," I chuckled, now trying to forget the past feelings, "He gets quite full of himself."

"I can tell," Mina snickered.

Aizawa turned over, revealed the tracking device now reading the words: 705.2 meters.

The group gasped, and even I found myself amazed by the distance he covered.

A few students murmured, mina said something about it looking fun. But as even I, stood in awe and excitement, I found myself dreading it even more.

"It looks fun, huh?" Aizawa spoke, quietly. Almost too quiet for anyone to hear.

"You have three years to become pro hero's, will you have an attitude like that the whole time?"

He smiled, a devilish look hung in his eyes, almost thinking of ways to prove our excitement was a hoax," All right."

"Whoever comes in last place, will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion."

His words burned my ears, my heart, my hope.

How... How will I do it then? How can I do it? Midoriya? Me? Expulsion... They can't! They wouldn't!

I noticed Midoriya clutching his hand, he too, looking desperately worried.

Aizawa showed his face, now liven with excitement and sadism. He was enjoying this. "Welcome to U. A's hero course!"

Instinct told me to look at the eyes I felt digging into mine. Crimson red stared at my own.

"Bakugo..." I whispered.

He looked at me. His eyes did not show any glee or triumph. It was hidden very well from those icy eyes but I knew Katsuki, and I could see it. Hidden very well behind those eye's, was worry.
