"(L/N)-San, please stay behind before going to class. There are some things I need to discuss with you."
You were already halfway out the door but turned anxiously, you turned to Midoriya and further back to Bakugo.
"Go on without me. I'll meet you later in the second period. "
They walked off, Irritated Bakugo chatting with Midoriya before quickly getting angry and scaring him away.
You smiled before turning to your teacher.
He sat at his desk, shuffling papers before sliding over a singular paper towards you.
"What is this?"
He sighed and leaned back in his chair, "If you are willing and ready to begin training, this is a complete training guide that will get you up to date in three weeks. This will include training your body to become stronger again as well as giving you the rundown of training you've missed. It'll be difficult and you'd need to be dedicated but if you are prepared we can get started immediately. "
"You made me a workout routine? So I can get strong again?"
"Your training was lacking the last time you were here and I can't imagine it being any better after missing school."
"You're right... I'm not who I used to be anymore."
"What do you mean by that?" He quired.
"Oh, I meant in physical strength... but thinking about it now, I'm not very recognizable as a person anymore either, " You chuckled sadly.
"People change, (L/N)-San. You'd never be the same person you were born compared to who you'd be when you die. For better or for worse, (L/N)-San, change is a part of life. And it isn't necessarily a bad thing."
You stayed silent for a moment, brewing in his words. "How are you always so wise, Sensei?"
"I learn from experiences. I've changed through life too."
"I hope I can be like you Sensei... I hope that whatever is happening to me now, makes me a better person. "
"That's up for you to decide, Young (L/N)."
"Do you mind if I sit down?"
He gestured to a table nearest to him, you sat in the seat accompanying it.
"Mr. Aizawa... Can I talk to you about something?"
"It depends. Wouldn't you prefer a counselor?"
You chewed your nail, "I appreciate the offer. But I feel much more comfortable talking to you. If it isn't a bother..."
"It's fine. Go on."
You stayed silent for a moment, your thoughts quickly untangling to make coherent sentences, but there was too much to say and it took a strenuous amount of effort to finally lay out your thoughts, "I'm going to try my best to be better. I'm going to work as hard as I can."
You hesitated for a moment, "The truth is, I struggled to take my medications a few years ago, and I think it negatively affected my quirk."
"How so?"
"It started with moving back in with my mother. We had some issues and it eventually ended up with me living with my grandparents for a while. While living with them, I guess I just really struggled with a lot of stuff, I was pretty inconsistent with my medications."
Aizawa listened patiently, crossing his arms and leaning back but his attention was only on you.
"When I moved back in with my mother, I hardly took them at all. Eventually, my mother found out. And urged me to get back to my medications again. I did but I fear it's already done lasting damage. I noticed immediately that my quirk felt less controllable. But I had managed to suppress it. Until the UA entry trials..."
"I recall that, you blew up a lot of buildings and Fighter bots."
You cringed at the thought, "I still can't believe I did something so reckless... there were so many people that could've gotten hurt... I was careless."
You paused, "Sensei... Could we possibly go back to quirk training again?"
"Are you sure? It's very strenuous, and it did indeed contribute to your... train incident. "
Your eyebrows furrowed at the mention. " I know. It's risky. But it's even riskier walking around with an untrained quirk. I want to at least try."
Aizawa paused, his eyes now seemed unfocused, as if deep in thought.
Finally, he leaned forward, "Alright. We can train once more. But if another incident happens again (L/N)-San..."
"I will be permanently removed from Hero's course. You will only be able to study education here at UA."
"So that means..."
"Yes, (L/N). You will not be able to become a pro hero."
You gulped, "I...I see that as fair..."
"Training will begin tomorrow, as well as your workout planning. In the meantime, I am going to assign you some homework. "
"Homework?"
"Yes, I want you to write down absolutely everything you hate, everything that makes you angry. Whether it's been something that's happened in your life or a pet peeve. I want an entire list of absolutely everything. Personal or Private. And bring it in tomorrow.
" A whole list... I can do that."
"Good. I will see you tomorrow at lunchtime for your training and after school for quirk training," a big evil smile spread across his face, " I hope you realize the extent of your agreement. "
You gulped again, this time swiftly standing. The anxiety clung to you like a blanket.
You smiled softly, "Thank you, Sensei..."
He gestured for your departure and returned to the paperwork, you walked out of the classroom.
That man is crazy. He's planning for my death.
You set off for your next class but Aizawa's voice cut in, stopping you in your tracks.
"And one last thing before you go."
"Yes, Sensei?"
"If you want to talk to someone about handling a strong quirk, talk to All Might."
"A-All Might?"
"Yes well, he does have a hard-to-control quirk. You might learn something from him. I believe you can find him in the teacher's lounge during 5th period but make sure to knock beforehand."
I never thought to ask All Might... but it makes sense.
"Thank you, Sensei."
You spun around and finally left the class.
Talking to All Might... That sounds scary.
You clasped your hand.
But I'll do anything to get better!
