A warm sun glowed softly onto your skin, it was bright but your eyes never watered. Your body felt...

Slanted.

It was as if you rested on something steep. A hill?

You're eyes never opened, but the longer you rested there, the more details you noticed.

The sound of moving water. It was calm but noticeable.

The grass. It pickled against your hands, feeling lush and soft.

Wind. It was gentle and paired well with the sun's embrace.

Breathing. It was not your own. It was gentle breathing, it was next to you. Sounding also as if whoever it was, was slightly dozing.

This time your eyes opened, the sun was just lower near the horizon, there were hundreds of white fluffy clouds in the sky of many sizes and shapes. The sky itself was crisp and blue. With the slightest tinge of pink, as the sun began to set.

You sat up easily and immediately noticed your surroundings. It was your childhood spot. The place near the river where the boys would throw stones, and you'd watch them from the slope, often with Bakugo. It was your favourite place to go to with them.

But that was years ago.

It had been so long since you came back, but all that came was sadness.

You missed those old days, the days of going out for adventure with Bakugo's hand in yours, the days of playing and singing, when you brought cakes and sweets you made and eagerly share them when they would nap together after a long day of running.

You stared at the setting sun for a while, and finally getting tired of the memories and the sadness they bring, you turned your head to the side.

What lay sleeping, was Bakugo. He wasn't little anymore, no longer a toddler. His face rested peacefully as if he was in a slight sleep. You stared at him, slightly surprised by his presence. But you stopped your staring watch just watched him peacefully, you didn't mean to be creepy at all, but seeing how cute and peaceful he was, was almost impossible to ignore.

He was as handsome as the day she walked with him out of the school.

His eyes fluttered open, they quickly meet with your own.

You both said nothing as he smiled, sat up and began to stretch and yawn.

You inched closer to him and he responded by placing a firm hand on your head and ruffling your hair.

Now you both watched as the sky became a bright Rose colour with swirling wisps of orange, yellow and purple, during that time you both remained silent.

Bakugo broke the silence first.

"This is just like when we were kids, except without those annoying idiots throwing stones in the water."

You hummed then spoke, " I've missed this."

He didn't respond for a few moments until finally, he mumbled out very softly, "Me too."

" I know I broke our promise, Nomi. I said I'd be with you forever, that you would never need anyone else's company. I know I broke that promise. But now..."

He turned away from the sunset and redirect it to your eyes, he searched every inch of them until he found the feelings hidden in them.

You did the same, you gazed into his and found a simmering nervousness.
