The morning rays peeked through your curtains, unfortunately, it shone in the only spot where your eyes were.
You groaned softly as you turned over, but when you did you fell out of your bed with a thud.
"Ouch." You mumbled while rubbing your arm which broke your fall.
Running your fingers through your hair and wiping away at the drool, you opened your phone for the time.
You lifted your bra strap over your shoulder since it previously slid off.
5:34 am
5 hours until the entrance exam
Considering whether to sleep for an extra hour or training one last time, you decided to get up.
The morning was jam-packed with intense exercise and fighting, your body ached and sweat dripped every time you made a sudden movement. But you felt good.
The cooling water rinses down your body, the shower was all you needed at that moment. Rinsing off all the grime and dirt made you feel alert and energetic for the test, after ringing out your hair and changing, you made your way downstairs to eat breakfast.
Your mother was cooking you a full meal for the day ahead.
"I appreciate the thought mom but I can't eat too much, I can't get sick during battle." You chuckled.
Your mother looked sheepish, "Sorry dear, I'm just so excited for you," she placed the egg flipper she was using down, turning to face you and held both your hands, "I know... When you were younger... I wasn't the best mother..."
Her eyes became glassy, and keep to her gaze to the ground.
You hugged your mother lovingly, "That's in the past mom, you're better now. I forgave you a long time ago... So stop feeling bad!" you spoke softly.
You removed yourself from her embrace, holding both her hands while giving a warm smile, to which she replied with one too.
You grabbed a small bowl of yoghurt and berries and consumed it hungrily while your mother ate the omurice she originally made for you.
Finishing up your breakfast, you kissed your mother on the head and left. Prepared for the exciting day ahead.
Your nerves started to pick up, you chewed your thumb again which was now completely healed.
Everyone might know now, what will they think?
You approached the tall building, the U.A symbol that was plated in gold overhead. 3 large red doors which were numbered 1 to 3 were placed as entrances to the inner part of the school. The school itself was beautiful and well kept. You felt gratitude to whoever cleans it.
You noticed a few peculiar students, there was a girl with green hair tied like a bow, she had a cute squishy face and kept her arms in front of her. Someone with a lego brick head was ahead some small purple guy who tried to look up your skirt but not without being kicked as you squirmed away uncomfortably.
You noticed Izuku being rescued by a girl from falling, you felt proud and decided not to interfere with him making friends.
I hope you're treated better here Izuku...
You entered the school grounds, now passing the entrance when you suddenly caught sight of a light yellow scarf heading in your direction. The wind probably blew it off the owner's neck.
You lifted your hand out and easily caught it, its soft fabric wrapping around your fingers. It smelt of a wonderful Cologne.
You peered around while hugging the scarf close to your chest. No one seemed to be looking for it.
You're eyes finally fell upon the blonde hair of Bakugo, who now was searching around for something.
His hand was placed in front of his neck, as if confirming that something was, indeed, missing from there, his head swept from left to right but never meet yours.
Your lip trembled slightly, taking a brave step towards him.
"Are you looking for this?" You asked shyly while holding out the scarf.
Bakugo turned his head to meet yours, first meeting your eyes then the object in your hand.
"I saw it flying in the wind and caught it..."
His eyes stared into yours, but strangely, it was calm. There was no anger, no hatred. His eyes were just calm perhaps even a little caught off guard.
You never noticed how Bakugo looked up close, sure, you were his friend when you were little but that was years ago. Other times you were too scared to notice, He's changed now.
It was only until then did you realise how attractive he looked, he was usually angry with a scowling, scary face but while he was calm he was very handsome.
Compared to when he was 4, his jawline was now defined. His chaotic hair looked quite soft, his cheeks were high yet baby-like in a cherishing way.
You could feel a tingling feeling in your heart, it almost felt difficult to breathe.
He grabbed it from your hand, now wrapping it around his neck.
It must be cold out. His cheeks turned bright pink. You internally giggled at the thought.
"Tch." was the only word he spoke before turning around and leaving.
Bakugo's Perspective
Dammit, my fucking scarf blew away. It must have landed somewhere over here...
My eyes darted around but I couldn't find the cursed thing.
My hands reached for where my scarf originally rested now feeling no signs of fabric.
Dammit!
"Are you looking for this?" a soft voice spoke, it sounded familiar.
I looked in front of me but saw no one, I looked down to now see Nomi.
Oh, she was too short to see the first time.
I peered down at her face, her big bright eyes looked up at me nervously.
Ba-bump
I switched my gaze swiftly to the flailing scarf in her outreached hand.
My eyes looked at hers, studying her anxious behaviour. Is she scared of me? That would make sense seeing how I treat her...
"I saw it flying in the wind and caught it..."
What's going on? My chest feels tight... It's hard to breathe when she's this close.
She secretly studied my face, but I knew. My hand clenched when I realised I was feeling hot, almost clammy. It felt weird being with her, but in some strange way, I liked it.
It pissed me off.
Why do I like this feeling? She's pathetic, she's useless. How dare she come to take the hero course when I told her not to. I... Hate her! She pissses me off! So why? Why do I want to stay this close with her?!
Her face. Her eyes are so big and gentle. That fucking smile, those soft lips, no, what am I thinking? Her nervous fidgeting, she made her arms stay close while her legs hugged each other. Her hair fell to cover half her face, which she swept aside again.
I can't stand it, I can't stand her.
I snatched the scarf from her, now wrapping it around my face in an attempt to hide my blushing.
"Tch." was the only word I could choke out before leaving swiftly.
I hate you (Y/N) (L/N), so fucking much.
