Your mother followed you like a duckling to its mother, almost giddy with excitement, " Really? Have you had a good day? You had fun?!"

You sighed and turned to her, seeing her that happy made you chuckle, "Yes, Mom. I had a good day. But I think you're getting excited over nothing, I just had a good day." You spoke gently to her.

"I know, I know but...(Y/N)... it's a huge step. You haven't had an easy time lately, so the fact that you were able to just live and enjoy your day means so much, doesn't it?"

You smiled again, "Yeah..."

Your mother hugged you and this time turned away in an enthusiastic march.

"Your favorite dinner tonight then!"

You laughed and entered your room.

Your back pressed against the door as it shut, with that a long sigh come out of your mouth, and your head rested against the wooden surface.

"Have a hard day, (Y/n)?"

You froze at the sound of the familiar voice, the prickles crept around your body as you set eyes on the man who intruded on your home one too many times.

"What are you doing here," You hissed.

"Have a hard day, (Y/n)? Huh?" He ignored your question, he almost taunted you with his tone.

"Get out or I'll-"

"You'll what? Blow me up? Along with your mother and your home and just about everything in the ten-mile radius?" He teased.

You glared at him, "What do you want, Shigaraki."

"Ooh, you remembered my name."

You glared daggers at his mockery, clasping your hands, "You break into my home. While I sleep. And try to make me join your villainous agency using my traumatic past. You're sick."

He stepped from the corner opposite to you, near the open window. He walked over.

"Stay back or I swear I'll scream, my mother-"

"I don't think your mother's measly little quirk will stop me. Besides, if you call for her-" He began to chuckle in an almost manic tone, "I'll disintegrate her before your eyes."

You gasped unwillingly as he finally stepped before you, his hands pinned you down with his index lifted.

His hands were ice and you could feel him just itching to fully wrap his hands around you and watch you crumble away.

"Now tell me, my dear. Did you have a bad day?"

"No..."

"You didn't?" His voice almost seemed to sound normal. As if he was caught off guard.

"No. Everyone was very supportive and accepting of my mental health." You said with almost a touch of bitter taunting in your voice.

He growled, "It won't be for long. You realize that right? It's just a matter of time. A matter of time before you slip up again."

You were about to argue but decided against it. This villain must know as little about you as possible, including your training.

"Have you not even thought about it yet? Are you really being so oblivious?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Stop being so naive, (Y/n). You're a ticking time bomb. It's only a matter of time before you slip up. Someone will make you angry. Or scared. Then the next thing you know, you're going to be alone. Because everyone will be dead. You'll get kicked out of U.A., and your mother will disown you if she's not already dead. You'll be alone, on the run. No one to help you."

"These people look down on you, they see you as different. A reject, nothing but a mistake in society."

You turned your eyes down, and even his words stung.

"But we can help you. We are not scared of you. The league of villains. You will never have to be alone."

"...Why do you want to help me, Shigaraki?"

"...Because you remind me of myself."

You stared up into the crack of his hand, into the brilliant red eyes that stared down at you. He averted his gaze but you continued to search what little part of his face you could see.

You reached up and held his hands, gently placing them down to his sides. He watched you, taking in every movement you made.

"I'm sorry, Shigaraki. But right now I have all the support I need. I will not betray my friends and family. I know I can overcome my quirk. Or at least... I'm going to try. Please... leave me alone."

He stared at you, "I will not give up on you. Sooner or later you will slip and when you do, everyone will go down. Except me."

With that he left, the room empty and the window still open.
