Distance
Costia woke up when she felt someone moving out of her arms and standing up. What happend? Who was that? Why was Costia even laying in the bed and not on the couch? Natasha. It was Natasha.
She remembered last night and opened her eyes just to see that Natasha was gone. "Natasha, are you there?" Costia asked and stood up going over to the bathroom and knocking, she heard Natasha talking to someone on the phone.
Natasha hung up the phone and went out of the bathroom. "What's wrong?" Costia asked, immediately realising that something was off.
"I just talked to Fury, there was a change of plans. We have to fly back to DC." she said and walked over to her backpack, Costia following her. "When?" she asked when she saw that Natasha already packing her stuff.
"Now."

A few hours went by and the two women were sitting in the same jet they came with on their way back to Shield.
"So what did exactly change?" Costia asked looking over to the redhead next to her. "The man we were supposed to find was murdered in his hotel room, but we were right. He was in Berlin."
A few minutes went by and Natasha felt how Costia wanted to ask her something, she kept looking over to her with this look on her face. The tension between them got too much for Natasha to stay silent. "Okay what is it?" she asked Costia having enough of it. "What?"
"I know you want to ask me something Cos, just ask." she said again looking over to the woman. "It's nothing." she said wich made Natasha roll her eyes at her. "Hey don't roll your eyes at me."
"Okay so I was just thinking what your dream was about. But you don't have to answer. Just if you want to." Costia answered as she looked over to Natasha. It was hard to read Natashas face but she was thinking about what to answer.
"It was about you actually." She said softly "When you got away from the redroom I had a hard time, I thought you were dead. I really cared about you- I still do." She finished.
"I'm sorry to hear that... well I wasn't dead." she said looking down. "I just wished I was." she mumbled. It wasn't her intention to say that out loud. "What?" Natasha asked when she looked over to Costia. "What did you expect?" she just said quietly "Hydra is worse than the red room."
The conversation died and both of them were lost in their thoughts until the plane landed again.
Natasha took both of their bags wich made Costia say that she 'can really carry it on her own' but Natasha didn't care. They arrived at Natashas room and the redhead dropped both of the bags.
And then they just stood there looking at each other, they got closer to each other somehow. Costias eyes landed on Natashas lips, they looked so soft.
Costia laid her hands on Natashas shoulders, Natasha automatically put her hands on Costias hips.
The two looked at each other, feeling the others breathes on their skin.
Natasha leant forward and closed the gab carefully, their lips connected, all their emotions flooded in the kiss. It was gentle and careful but still passionate. Every feeling they ever had for each other came to the outside. Costias hands wandered from Natashas cheeks to her neck and Natashas hands held Costias hips tight.
But then Costia let go of the woman in front of her and took a step back, her cheeks were burning red. She looked to the ground when she saw the hurt expression on Natashas face.
