Natasha and Costia quickly made their way to the laboratory getting Thor on their way, Fury was already there with Stark, Rogers and Banner. They were talking about plans from phase 2, plans which were actually classified.
"Did you two know about this?" Banner asked the women as they walked in, he was talking about a device from phase two, the situation in the room was very tensed.
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha suggested calmly, she and Costia weren't sure how stable he and his green ego were so they had to be extremly careful.
"I was in Calcutta." Banner chuckled, "I was pretty well removed."
"Loki is manipultating you." Natasha said calmly walking in Banners direction. The Doctor was walking closer to the sceptre to Natashas and Costias worry.
"And you've been doing what, exactly?" Banner asked.
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you." Natasha said.
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy." Banner said, Costia was about to step in to defend Natasha but quickly stopped herself to not anger Banner more.
"I'd like to know why Shield is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." Banner asked looking at Fury.
"Because of him." Fury answered pointing at Thor, "Me?" the god questioned in disbelief.
"Last year, Earth had a visiter from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only we are not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned." he explained.
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor said protectively. "But you're not the only people out there, are you?" he questioned, "And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled."
"Like you controlled the cube?" Rogers interrupted. "Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies." Thor continued, "It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war."
"A higher form?" Rogers asked. Fury ignored him and continued talking, "You forced our hand. We had to come up with something."
"A nuclear deterrent." Stark chimed in, "Because that always calms everything down." he said sarcastically.
"How did you make your fortune again, Stark?" Costia asked, knowing the answer.
"I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck deep-" Rogers started but was quickly interrupted by Stark.
"Hold on. How is this now about me?" he said stepping a little closer to the soldier.
"I'm sorry," he said ironically, "isn't everything?"
"I thought humans were more evolved than this." Thor spoke up. "Excuse me," Fury said when he looked at Thor, "did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?" he asked the Asgardian.
Natasha and Costia just watched as the four men kept arguing and kept getting louder, "Are you boys really that naive?" Natasha asked but was masterly ignored by everyone, "Shield monitors potentional threats." she added.
"Captain America is on the threat watch?" Banner asked from next to Natasha, the other men were still wildly arguing in the back. "We all are." Natasha ansered Banners question.
"Yeah big man in a suit of armor." Rogers said to Stark earning the attention from everyone in the room, "Take that off, what are you?"
"Genius, billionare, playboy, philanthropist." Stark said dry, Costia added a quite 'and a bitch' which was only heard by Natasha.
