Where Is Nat?
After a while Costia turned on her comms, the silence was getting too loud once again. Well, it wasn't actually the silence that got too loud but her thoughts when she had no distraction. When it was quite Costia got reminded of the times she had spent in a cell, how she always felt so trapped like an animal in a zoo.
Normally she could handle it, she would just distract herself. But that didn't work now, the memories Wanda had brought back had ripped the wounds open again she thought were closed and had left her exposed.
She stood up and rested her body against the cabinet, she wished she could've helped the team but without being fast like Pietro she wouldn't be there in time and she knew that. It was bothering her, the way she couldn't do anything to help.
Normally she would've at least tried but she was just so tired. Her whole energy was drained, she felt like Ultron had beat the shit out of her, that didn't happen though because Steve wouldn't let her fight. He wouldn't let her do the only thing she was good at.
She listened to her team struggling, wishing she was there to help.
She thought back to Steves words, maybe he was right after all. She didn't focus that much on the fight, she was too busy with shoving all her memories down to concentrate.
'How do you want me to take it?' was the first thing Costia heard through the comms. Clint sounded so serious while he said that, it was hilarious.
Even though her mood was very bad she couldn't help but chuckle. Costia wasn't sure if his joke was meant to sound that sexual, but she was sure he'd regret it now.
'Uh, you might wish you hadn't asked that.' Natasha joked through her comms, she could hear her girlfriend chuckle. It made her relaxed in a way, she knew that her Costia was still there and that her fears hadn't took her.
Steve spoke up, he was breathing heavily and there was an alarm blaring in the back, 'I lost him. He's headed your way.'
'Nat we gotta go.' Costia heard Clint warn her girlfriend. She felt how her pulse quickened. But she had trust in her girlfriend, she knew she'd be okay. She had to be.
As always Natasha had promised Costia to be safe. That was their thing now, before a mission Costia would tell Natasha to be careful and Natasha would say 'always'. It was a habit they got into and both of them couldn't do a mission anymore without it.
A few seconds went by and Natasha still didn't answer. But Clint didn't say anything either so maybe Natasha actually listened and went to him.
'Nat!' she heard Clint exclaim. Costia quickly pushed herself away from the cabinet and started to make her way out of the laboratory. It wasn't easy, this place was a maze. She wondered how she even found her way in.
'Cap, you see Nat?' Clint questioned. Costia had a bad feeling in her gut. Something was about to happen, something bad. And she knew it would happen. She just couldn't do anything about it.
'If you have the package, get it to Stark! Go!' Steve ordered, he was hard to understand because of wind that was surrounding him.
'Do you have eyes on Nat?' Clint asked again, sounding even more urgent than before. Costia rushed around in the building, she needed to get Natasha. It was her job as her teammate and girlfriend to look out for her.
But instead of saving her girlfriend she was running around in a laboratory, trying to find an exit. She knew she couldn't blame this on Steve, didn't matter how much she'd like to.
'Go!' Steve yelled, probably busy with his own fight. Maybe she could blame it on him.
"Natasha? Where are you?" the blonde asked through the comms, she still had hope Natasha would answer.
